So to put things simply, my girlfriend cheated on me. We'd been together for 2 years, and everything seemed to have been going fine. I love her very much, but I'm not sure it's in my best interest to give her a second chance. I've always gone by the principle "once a cheater, always a cheater" and swore to break it off if I was ever to be cheated on. Now that I'm in the situation, I'm finding it hard to stick to my principles.
My question to you all is this: If somebody has a history of cheating on their boyfriends (I knew about a previous boyfriend she had cheated on), is this something they can never overcome?

Fact that she has cheated on another boyfriend is not good, then she did it with you. Time to really step back, and take a hard look at things. Your heart is telling you one thing, but, your mind needs to step in and overtake the situation. It's not good. You have to protect yourself, and not become a door mat.
She did it before, she did it again, not a good pattern for this chick.
If you don't know what to do right now, I would not talk to her, seriously, do not talk to her. You need time to think, and being on contact with her won't help. Stay away, so you can think things through.
If she wants to have successful relationship/s in the future, she needs to only date right now, and not get serious. She needs to be honest with herself about things, and she's not, and then be honest with you.

What you need to do is get back at her. Cheat on her as many times as she cheats on you - that'll teach her, haha!
