Notice how this somehow wasn't a concern at all when prominent right wing activists and politicians were celebrating Pelosi's husband having been attacked and were making jokes about it. Kirk himself at the time said that the assailant should be bailed out by some "patriot".
It's performative corpse exploitation at its worst. Not that it has ever been about free speech or decency. Harrassment campaigns have been the MO of Libs of TikTok from the very start and Kirk's Turning Point was the creator of the (
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Professor_Watchlist) Professor Watchlist. Cancel culture then, cancel culture now.
If you were at work and you saw a group of people who work for you start cackling with joy and high-fiving over the murder of some prominent liberal personality, you would fire them. Don't even try to say otherwise.

it makes sense to get rid of such people.
Ah, the Great Values, get rid of family members just because how they react.
Thanks to show how million of american minds work.

Again, this is not what's happening. I've looked at a few hundred of these supposed "celebrations" and in a lot of cases they were simply criticisms of either Kirk or of the exploitation of his murder by right wing activists. Otherwise there were some cases of people being flippant about the killing or edgy teenagers making jokes or even people remarking on the irony of somebody saying gun violence was an acceptable price to pay for not having gun control getting killed by gun violence. A not insignificant part was people quoting Kirk himself.
The website itself that was coordinating it seems to be have been taken down now, but there's an entire wikipedia article about it: (
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disciplinary_actions_for_commentary_on_the_assassination_of_Charlie_Kirk).
As you can read from the article, this is not some sort of a grassroots effort or a natural reaction, it's a coordinated effort spearheaded by political activists and government officials.

I said it makes sense for
employers to get rid of such people (from their businesses) as you know very well. If anything it is leftists who will shun their family members for having any conservative views.

It is absolutely what happened. They did it perhaps outside of work or off the clock, but they did it. And conservatives have been getting fired for edgy jokes for decades. I say the only way to make it stop is if leftists suffer the same things.

The "leftist" that lives in your mind, sure. The real ones (tip: they're anti-idealists so not only idealism but ANY ideology can't fascinate them), no.
I have dear friends that are more Trump-supporters (being italian libertarians here in Italy) than MAGA people. They're really valuable (and proven to be), despite the fascination for that glorified narcissist.
An yes, I'm a "leftist" (surely an
antifa so now a "terrorist", LOL ) even if a really anomalous one for your american metrics.

As I said, I've read hundreds of these supposed "celebrations" by now. There's only a scant handful of them that are openly celebrating the murder. And most of these seem to be by very young people. I've seen way worse on 4chan and some more right-wing places.

Ok, I've read through all of his comments. Where was he celebrating Kirk's death or cackling with joy? Do you think his comments are bad enough to warrant government action or a coordinated activist campaign to get him doxxed and fired?

I wasn't referring to anyone getting fired over comments they made about Kirk, just the general celebration and happiness people on the extreme left are experiencing from a person being murdered.
Quote:
Kirk died as a glorious example of the values he lived for, and finding some ironic pleasure in that is justifiable schadenfreude.
