You don't sell cars to damage people, but to drive and you can damage people if you can't drive properly. Same for kitchen knives.
You sell weapons to damage people, not only to scare them.

but hearing about someone getting enjoyment or happiness out of someone's murder, especially a guy with a wife and kids, is just kind of sickening.
The problem is Kirk was that kind of guy, the one blaming the deads.
See his reactions to "scumbag" Floyd death.
Until they'll cancel them from the internet......
Kirk's death is all about this: (

The BBC has also seen an online profile allegedly owned by Robinson on a website dedicated to furry fandom, suggesting he may have had an interest in the subject.
Another casing was inscribed with lyrics from the song Bella Ciao, which honours World War Two-era partisans of the Italian resistance who fought Nazi Germany. The song has also appeared in a video game, a TV series and has been covered and remixed many times in the years since.
The fourth cartridge read: "If you Read This, You Are GAY Lmao" – another online reference.
But the exact meaning of the messages, if indeed they are intended to have any meaning at all beyond a prank, is still unclear. The nature of online language, with its layers upon layers of irony, means that multiple interpretations are possible.
In the messages to his roommate Robinson said the engravings were "mostly a big meme", indicating perhaps that they should not be taken as a serious statement.

The idea I got is that he's just not that political. He's into gaming, guns, furries, and memes, but he hates the anti-LGBT rhetoric spiking this last year, and Charlie Kirk was like the pointman leading that charge in the country.
They're trying to paint him as some rabid leftist or a warrior for some radical leftist agenda, but I don't see that in his profile. I'd guess the fallout from breaking with the Mormon church, and getting into a relationship with LT, had a lot more to do with his mindset than anything political, but I've been fascinated by ExMo videos recently.
Reality is usually some mush in the middle of the simple categories people have in their minds about the world.

Usually the "why did they do it" questions are more relevant for the senseless mass shootings, but I'd be curious to know why anyone decides to consciously take the violence route as opposed to alternatives.
I think it requires two things; narcissism and intolerance. Intolerance of different opinions, and the narcissism that enables someone to think that they have a right to eliminate a person holding different opinions. Kirk was someone who promoted dialogue between people who held different opinions, so I suppose that made him an easy target in that regard. That the killer was a furry is possibly the least surprising element.

He would prefer not to fly in planes piloted by Black persons or see people tried by Black female judges.
Some tolerance and promotion of dialog.
One needs to be able to step over a very low bar of basic trust in one's fellow citizens for the whole democracy thing to work, and I don't know if he had the moral vertical to do it.

I really don't think taking a person's comments out of context does anyone any favours. There are plenty of black people who oppose affirmative action for precisely the same reasons that Kirk did.
Nicker on 20/9/2025 at 23:39
Arranging cage-matches with under-qualified opponents isn't dialogue. And alleging that "some" blacks support Kirk's racism doesn't elevate Charlie's overt white supremacism.
Out of context. That's high-carbon irony.

“Who Really Pulled the Trigger?" The Shocking Assassination of Charlie Kirk, Who's Next? Civil War Is Coming "Must Listen" (Michael Decon Program)
Tonight's episode offers an unfiltered discussion on the rising tensions across America in the wake of high profile violence and headline grabbing controversies. Michael Decon and co-host Von Wehunt break down the national reaction to the tragic assassination of conservative figure Charlie Kirk, the polarizing fallout across social media, and the broader cultural shift toward political extremism and cancel culture. The conversation delves into conspiracy theories surrounding the event, the risks public figures now face, and how both sides of the political spectrum have weaponized online platforms, with dire consequences for free speech, employment, and civil society.
Through dark humor, candid exchanges, and critical perspectives, Michael and Von Wehunt explore America's obsession with true crime, the loss of coping skills in younger generations, and the challenges of maintaining civility in a wildly fragmented landscape. As the pair debate what's next for the country, they challenge listeners to think critically, question official narratives, and navigate the “sympathy of chaos” unfolding throughout the year. Stay tuned for a raw look at the issues dividing the nation and the search for common ground amid unprecedented turmoil.
