Stealing from a god? your character should be placed in the same pantheon with Garrett
who plyed his trade on The Trickster!
*dances wildly* Oblivion's got the same guy working on thieving as the one who did Thief III. I also don't care if that sentence could have been constructed better, because I'm happy!

Yey!
*imagines himself running from a hammer-wielding Imperial Guard who is shouting "I shal smite thee, HEATHEN!* :joke:

That sounds more like the temple if you ask me. The thought still brings warmth to an old taffers heart though.
Have anybody tried turning the alit into burricks yet?

thiefing doesnt seem to work for me. i even used the invisability potion and the spell (from being under that sing that gives invis ability) and i was still caught trying to lockpick something BEHIND THE PERSON's BACK :confused:

What is your Sneak skill? if its 50%+ you should be able to sneak in certain places behind people's backs; just try the stealth key and see if the "I'm sneaking" (a hand reaching towards a purse) icon appears. If it does, chances are you'll be able to lockpick/steal there. But pickpocketing is somewhat more difficult...
Anyway, for a really good thief start a Khajiit or a Wood Elf with a specialization in Agility and Intelligence (for Sneaking and Security) and in Stealth and take Sneaking and Security as two of your Major Skills. This will make you a Taffer to start with (and you can rob the Censdus and Exise Warehouse in Seyda Neen right after you get out of the office and save your game for the first time; it has some real nice - and profitable - things in there :)).

Invisability just means you can sneak past people unseen. When you try to attack someone, lockpick, pick up something etc, you will become visable again.

i cheated. put ur sneak skill to the max and other skills. press ~ to activate the cheat screen thingy then put in player->setsneak 1000000
then ur sneak will be that level my strength is about 10000 and i kill anything in 1 hit and my hp is 100000 or some other bignumber try it!
player->setstength 1000000
player->sethealth 100000000
or any number will work and do the same for other skills. :) :D :p
