If this was D&D, you'd lose your class very soon :)
It isn't D&D, just remotely inspired by it (in D&D terms, my char would be Neutral or Chaotic Goog, not Lawful Good). I want a character which would be fun to play over a long time, and which would be generally chivaleric (sp?) and heroic (within limits; generally speaking, that means no breaking of Imperial laws, no stealing, no assassination, no sneaking, no backstabbing, no taunting unless ABSOLUTLEY nessecery, no disobeying orders from my Legion/Cult commanders and so on). The Temple isn't evil, right? Haven't done any of their quests, so I don't know. And is the fighter guild downright evil and/or conflicting with any of the other guilds I've posted?
Edit: Also, I'm contemplating on making my favored attributes Agility and Personality rather than Agility and Strength; how important is Agility for a fighter-type? Also, I'm considering the use of blunt weapons, but are there varied/interesting enough?

You can pretty much do what you want. The game really isn't that hard at all unless you're trying to be a 'magic only' character.
Agility never really served much purpose to me. In the beginning, it helps a lot to keep you from getting hit, but later on it's more or less worthless. Any hits you take are easily ignored, or they won't have a chance to hit you.
Anyway, I would probably stick with Strength and Agility, if anything. I've made characters with Speechcraft and so on before, but again, never really used it.
And blunt weapons? Not enough variety in my opinion. You're going to want shortswords and longswords.
But what do I know? Play the character how you want, heh. It may make it a bit harder, but that's a good thing. Blunt weapons are pretty cool anyway.

I've used Speechcraft several times to good effect; especially in the early game it saves you gold on training/purchases and it also fits my character quite well; it also allows you some nice conversation reports (though it isn't as important as it's equivalent in Fallout, where you could TALK THE FINAL BOSS INTO COMITTING SUICIDE!). In Daggerfall, IIRC, Speechcraft was kinda useless, but I've played it some time ago. So Strength and Personality it is :)
And I'm not looking for the best weapon, I'm looking for an interesting/cool weapon. So what are the available blunt ones? I've only seen hammers and staves, but are there maces/flails?

I´m a realy sneaky Breton born under the sign of the Atronach.
I also got bitten by a vampire.

Hammers, maces, clubs, staves. That's about all I can remember right now for the blunt weapons.
...Fallout, where you could TALK THE FINAL BOSS INTO COMITTING SUICIDE...
Wasn't that Planescape: Torment?

I know for sure it was in Fallout; maybe it was in Planescape as well, but I haven't played it yet.

Hmmm... concerning blunt weapons, are there silver maces/hammers available in the early game (Seyda Neen/Balmora/Gnisis)? They would be needed for ghost-bashing, especially in the Unused Pelgiad Well mod (which is a nice little dungeon with lots of rats and a few undead, and could be completed early on).
Also, are any of the Fighter Guild's quests "evil" and/or alined with the slave-traders?

Sounds interesting... A sneak-mage Vamp it is, then? :ebil:
About my character plan (damn I am away from my Morrowind-running computer till the 26th of May but I'll plan her in all of her knightly glory), I think I'll go for a Long Blade (more weapons to choose from, and the Munchkin in me whispers about a bigger racial bonous :cheeky: ); also for a boost in Strength and Agility (my Personality would probably reach 100 quite soon even without it :)).
