Just a suggestion....
Wouldn't it be nice if the thread starter had the option of changing the subject line that shows up in the listing of a forum's most recent thread?
Like this (from TEG :) ): S&R Doors [Was: chain-reaction - opening doors]
Would make it easier to search and save some unnecessary traffic if people knew what a thread had going...provided that people use it sensibly.
Any thoughts on that?

I tried changing the topic of the first post in this thread...It changes allright, only the thread subject remains the same....what am I missing?
