I'm just wondering is there a way I can manually set the menu resolution. upon installing 1.19 for T2 (GREAT F***'NG PATCH btw) The resolution of the menu syncs with the game resolution so no more waiting! However, I've noticed that playing T2X and Thief Gold there is no way to change the resolution of the menu be it patch or otherwise and thus I am doomed to suffer the 6 second pause when I check my map and objectives.

You can have the same for ThiefGold and T2X as well !
The NewDark patch can also be applied to ThiefGold - or more preferably simply install Tfix, which includes it already.
T2X can be patched with NewDark pretty much the same way as Thief2 - in case you installed it via the installer,
but at the end I think it would make more sense to simply install it like an FM.
With that T2X would share the entire configuration and optimization you have done to the Thief2 install already.
Not sure where to find the instruction on how to do that.

Yea I tried Tfix and that did solve the problem but then stuff gets choppy when I play but when I remove that mod I can still run it at 1920x1080 with no chop.

Also I've looked at the newdark but it says its only for Thief 2. To install you just extract contrib.zip and newdark.zip into the T2 directory. Is there somewhere in a .cfg file that dictates the menu resolution?

You can not play Thief at 1920x1080 without any sort of widescreen patch installed.
So,... what is the game running with ? DDFIX ? TFIX ? NEWDARK ?
Lookup the corresponding thread and ask your questions there.
The choppyness you encountered with TFix can probably be fixed.
But you should post in the relevant forum (NewDark thread and TFix thread (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=83) Thief Series General Discussion), so the experts actually see it.

TFix 1.10 was what I was using. 1.15 made everything so much better!
