Perhaps; I haven't been following the EPL anywhere near as long as the average fan but it still seems to me Liverpool hasn't done itself many favours in terms of new talent brought in. Fourth highest budget in the league is still a lot of money, and there have been some questionable buys in players like Babel and Keane. Can't argue with Torres and Kuyt in the last few years though.
