Lessee..
Even if Sharon hates you, she'll still cut a deal with you the last time you see her.
Aaaand, don't forget that if you let Jojo kill the Rentons, he'll help you during the raid.

Is there any change to the game by saving Miguel?
(NSF Terrorist you are trapped with in the MJ12 prison)
Nah, he just thanks you.

something that i really wanted to have in the game, would be more options in the dialogues
of course, there are some nice ones throughout the game, but more should be in, to fit every player´s personality
dont u think the same?
btw, great job on those lists there
and i thought I was addicted to deus ex...

If you're the kind of person who could care less about Miguel, you can tell him to "Make a break for it" and he'll run ahead as a distraction. It's kind of funny and sad at the same time to see him desperately trying to knife his way through UNATCO troopers.:laff:
Since this list is an ongoing process, I thought I'd add a couple more while I'm thinking about them.
* In the Mole People tunnels, if you manage to sneak all the way through to the leader's secret office and speak with him without being spotted, all of the NSF will cease being hostile. This is a good way to hear the conversation about Paul.
* If you talk to Maggie Chow first thing in Hong Kong (before other conversations cast suspicion on her) she'll give you the code to the police evidence vault, where there is a crapload of loot and ammo. This is the ONLY WAY to get the code. The keypad is unbreakable and so is the vault door.
Also I think these should be mentioned again since they always seem to come up in these "choices" threads:
* It's possible to spare Anna's life during your battle at UNATCO HQ, albeit very difficult. Find a way to whittle her down to 12% health or less without triggering her self-destruct, and she'll go into 'flee' mode. This counts as taking care of her, but I've never managed to do it myself. The result is that it changes some of the dialogues Gunther has with you later in the game.
* It's possible to spare Gunther's life at the cathedral, though it doesn't really change anything. It's much easier than with Anna since you can use the Targeting Aug to get a read on his remaining health and hit him with weaker weapons to compensate.
* If you spare Walton Simons at the underwater labs (just run away), he reappears to fight you at Area 51, right before the blast doors leading inside the facility.
Originally posted by Rolander What makes Sarah Renton stays in Hell's Kitchen (GOTY Version):
During the NSF transmitter mission when Paul stays at the hotel, you get to talk with Sandra and Mr Renton about Jo-Jo Fine who has moved into the hotel. Mr Renton will ask for a weapon from JC.
After that, Jo-Jo will come down and push Sandra around, and Mr Renton wil tell him off, causing Jo-Jo to attack Sandra and Mr Renton.
Now, if you give Mr Renton a weapon he can use (sawn-off shotgun, pistol, stealth pistol, crossbow, others?), he will have a faceoff with Jo-Jo.
I found that if I let Mr Renton get in the first shot on Jo-Jo, after Jo-Jo is taken care off and everyone else survives, Sandra will end up staying at Hell's Kitchen. If I get JC to hit Jo-Jo first, whether or not Mr Renton gets armed is irrelevent: Sandra will run away.
Provided Mr Renton shoots first (doesn't matter if I make JC intervenes after that) and everyone survives (chances of Mr Renton killing Jo-Jo on his own before Sandra dies is pretty slim because of Jo-Jo's stealth pistols fast ROF, so if I want this dialogue path, I'll waste Jo-Jo immediately after that first shot), Sandra will stay.
An indirect reward for making Sandra stay is that when returning to Hell's Kitchen to meet Stan Dowd, Sandra will be in the bar along with Vinny the Marine and will vouch for Vinny's trustworthiess if you speak with her.
But what if Mr. Renton happens to die before this?
Goggleboy on 3/1/2004 at 23:27
Then she stands there in shock and says, "Oh no Daddy!" or something like that. I'm not sure what happens later in the game after this, because I counted this as a screwup and reloaded.
Crowley on 5/1/2004 at 15:28
Actually what I meant was what happens if you kill Mr. Renton as early on as possible, before the Jo-Jo scene. I remember someone on these boards mentioning (s)he had tried that, but didn't describe the result in any detail.

Gawd I hate registering! Actually respondign to this thread is the sole reason I registered (first time on this boards). /. have an option to post as "anonymous coward" and they dont seem to get many spams. I digress....
My own two thots:
As I'm sure most hardcore DXers know, Paul can be saved. In the Ton Hotel, dont go out the window, instead fight your hardest against the MiBs and troopers. Paul isnt as sick as he claims and will help you. If you have eliminated all troopers in the hotel, Paul will tell you a friend of his will help him. Dont let him out of your field of view, as he has a tenancy to disapear and end up dead. He appears alive in the clinical unit of the MJ12 base below UNATCO, once in HK before your about to leave, and in A51 he gives you your three choices via hologram instead of Savage.
Another interesting story-branch - in the submerged lab I'd disguarded all heavy weapons - the most leathal thing I had was a stealth pistol. After beign ambushed by the bloke I empied my clip at him, it did nothing so I activated a cloak and simply walked away! He reappears outside A51; on impulse I decided not to kill them then as well but it has no effect.
Jock can be saved. Kill the mechanic (or not - not sure), go back and talk to the illumaniti dude, talk to Josh, talk to the illumaniti guy, talk to josh again. Maybe talk to the illuminati guy again. Eventually a few scenes later Jock says hes found a bomb and ditches it in the ocean, and flies away from A51 *without* exploding.
And of course my favorite part of the game - said illuminatti dudes house. Choices here are the AI which thinks its a god and the illuminatti-boss-dude-whos-cold. Interfearing in either of them (or both) has no impact on the story, said illuminatti-dude just grumbles. (Hmm I'd be a bit madder if my former mentor was killed!)
The-Illumaniti-Dude-With-The-Plague can be saved. He says if you find any ambrosia, be sure to give him some. Suprise suprise, what do you find on the superfreighter in the lab? A tiny vial of ambrosia. Bring it to the The-Illumaniti-Dude-With-The-Plague and he thanks you, but no impact on the game.
------- Thoughts ---------
Presumably you can get through the French Mansion without Nicolette. So what happens if you kill her?
Are there any other bosses you cant kill? (Navarre and Paige you must kill, obviously.) I presume you could hack Gunther's computer using a cloack, without killing him - or lead him out of the room and into the grounds of the castle and then double back into the room. Anyone tried?
Is it possible to clear the Battery Park of baddies (the place Jock says to meet you after Paul dies (or not) before your captured)? Once I killed everyone but Gunther - get on the train, arrive at the park, kill Anna (you wont have to kill her later at UNATCO HQ), sneak up to the surface, fire a scrambler grenade on the military bot. He'll kill everyoen before being zapped by gunther who seems to be invincible. Does anyone know any different?
---
Wow you meet Sandra later in the game? I had no idea (both times I played she got back togethro with her father lol - not much point in replaying if you dont take different desisions lol !)
Actually this thread is quite interesting for me as work for a games development company currantly working on a project that was inspired by Deus Ex - one of our primary objectives was to have the plethora of game options in our game that Deus Ex has but I believe I speak for the whole team when I say we're a bit overwealmed by the mamothesian-task ISA did!
Well those are my thoughts... anyone got any others? I'm off to bed!

(No my middle initals are not a shameless rip-off of my favorite games lead charactor!)

You cant kill nicolette, unless you do a little console fiddling and say something like "set nicoletteduclare binvincible 0" or something like that.
I've heard you can exploit Navarre's AI by throwing a grenade at her, and then she will open that locked door for you, thus allowing you to leave without killing her. I think that, however, she is completely impervious to nonlethal weapons (unlike gunther and WS, who merely are highly resistant to them.)
Gunther is unkillable at that point in the game.
