To contextualise those ten hours: Tim Rogers' reviews are more performance art/comedy routine than anything else, at least from the handful that I've checked out.

I plan on watching all 10 hours of it, but I don’t have much interest in playing the game. I bounced off the Witcher 3 two or three times, but I’d still like to give it a chance, and by most accounts it’s much better regarded than CP2077.

TW3 is a great world, with great characters and a great plot, strung together with OK gameplay.

Yeah, I've put a ton of hours in to Witcher 3, and tend to agree.
The combat is almost there, but is a tad too unpredictable and whiffy, and gear progression once again raises its ugly head.
It's most egregious when you get a new piece of gear and it's at your current level. This means that it's outdated almost immediately upon levelling, and stings the most with set gear.
This MMO/Diablo bullshit gear progression has no place outside of those games, and companies like Larian and CDPR should stop trying to crowbar it in to every game they make.
This can actually be proved in games by both companies by applying mods that either remove gear progression completely, or always auto-level it so that it's at the same level as your character.
The combat suddenly becomes a lot more enjoyable, and you can start focussing on skills and technique rather than optimising gear.

I recently started playing it too (on PC), looking OK so far though I've seen nothing groundbreaking really. Still too early for me to judge re: mechanics and story, but it hasn't been glitchy or anything in the few hours I've had with it. Overall first impressions are good, it's promising.
It takes 44 gigs on my drive though, holy shit. I have a hard time wrapping my head around that. My first computer had a 4 gig HDD :laff:

44GB is actually on the slim end for a modern AAA game, but yeah, installation sizes are crazy these days. I appreciate whenever a dev manages to hold back on size. When I saw that Dying Light 2 was ONLY 23GB I gave my PS5 a standing ovation.

My first PC? 40MB. And now I feel old.

Heh, my first was 100MB. It could fit MS-DOS, Windows 3.11, and a bunch of games. Tho I had to uninstall Windows so I could fit the Quake demo on it.

My first computer was made of oak and you had to set the bits by hand.
