You know what Subject, quit your trolling, and quit beating this thing with an dead cat. You have your opinions, it is the way you go about it, shoving it down our throats. Coming off as a know-it-all, and sounding like an ass in the process. Having to get that last word in. You did read it wrong Subject, think what you will, of course, you always do.
I still believe what I believe, go tout and preach somewhere else, if you want something bigger to beat, go beat the dead horse then.
I've stopped reading this, because now, it's just retarded.
/me waits for Subject to fluff up his feathers again. :bored:

I didn't start off shoving it down your throat, but the range of ill informed opinions has made me go into more detail.
And to reiterate - I was initially actually trying to be helpful. How can I have "read" it wrong? You didn't give many details in your initial nor subsequent posts, and that is a fact. There is no opinion here, just facts.

This. I generally agree with his contributions to this thread, but he didn't have to STOMP ALL OVER THE PLACE to make them.

Oh, shoot me for not taking kindly to people name calling when I'm just trying to tell them something that might be important/useful for them.
Re-read my first 3 posts. No stomping, just information.

I think this all boils down to the fact that you have a horrible online demeanor.
SubJeff on 8/10/2007 at 18:46
People are touchy when they're wrong dude. Really, re-read my first 3 posts (and try to ignore the Spaz bits as he is certainly the worst sort of ill-informed reactionary).

No, I'm serious. You have a horrible online demeanor. You have good things to say, but you post like a constipated bull. You always have, and I hold little hope for change. In fact, I'm not even sure you should change. It is, for good or for bad, your defining characteristic.
I know a little something about horrible online demeanors.

MY POINT WAS--goddamn it--that I can fully understand WHY BA feels she was misdiagnosed, given the way it went down FROM HER POINT OF VIEW. The first doctor TOLD HER IT WASN'T an infection, and it WAS. Sounds like a misdiagnosis to me!
My recap wasn't a gross distortion--my understanding was she told the first doctor about feeling ill, and I specified visits, not visit. And I reiterate, he may have been following protocol for an infection, but he told her it WASN'T one! I feel like scratching somebody! o9
But she's right, all's well that ends well. And yes, I know it's quite rare. I hope no-one gets the idea that they shouldn't adopt a cat, or worse, declaw the ones they have. THE KITTIES ARE HARMLESS, people

I'm not going to be that much of a bore as to list all the things that were wrong with the first and subsequent posts from a medical viewpoint. I understand that you and I have different points of view regarding the issue Lesser. Your point was that you can understand why BA felt she was misdiagnosed, mine was that actually she wasn't and therefore shouldn't feel so bad about the way her GP treated her.
We still don't know the full story re: signs and symptoms but that's not important now. Suffice to say that many times people are treated for things with what will be a likely remedy - that the problem goes away is not definitive sign that the likely, or unlikely, diagnosis is certain without full and thorough testing. I can't tell you the number of times I've seen patients treated for X as the most likely diagnosis, then get better but when the lab results come back 48hrs later they had Y. I also get the impression, not just from this thread, that when someone mentions "surgeon" people get freaked. Surgery is just a branch of medicine and surgeons often treat very minor conditions, with or without actual surgical procedures.
And I sincerely apologise if I came across as arrogant or rude.
Edit for people who may stumble across this in the future: I'd like to make note of how the OP was displeased by the GP "scaring" her with talk of cancer. FYI - this is an odd phenomenon that many a doctor will recognise; people getting annoyed that they have been frightened seemingly forgetting that by thinking about all the possibilities, and the worst case scenario, the doctor may actually save their life. But hey, we all hate a know-it-all, right? Have a nice day/life.
