After completing Arx for the first time, i started a second run with a new character. I had a bugless experience in my first run, but recently i found a fatal error involving Carlo.
When i get to Arx, and the guard tells me to go to the guardroom to talk to Carlo, i do so. Carlo is not in the guardroom. I proceed to look all around the city, knowing that he likes to wander. No where in sight.
I am on the part where i need to enter the crypts now - and i need the key from Carlo. I have seen Carlo in two cinematics - once about the recent Ylside attack (throne room), and once in the council room cinematic. It's too bad he runs as fast as possible out of the castle before i can even try talkng to him.
What can i do? i know there are several ways inside the crypts through side passages, but dont i need to activate those from the inside? should i skip the crypts altogether and kill the entire Order of the Sacred Dagger to get the ring Zohltar?
I am pissed. My character is good. i wanted to finish Arx twice, and now it's looking bleak.

You can do that, the crypts can be skipped if you kill the dagger leader for Krahoz. You just wont have the shield or the helm.

You can always steal Krohaus without killing anyone.
