Looking for my ticket out...
Well I've searched this forum and all but the most important inch of Precious Cargo and I can't find the key to cargo 5. Judging by the fact that no one else is asking after it, it must be pretty obvious. Except to me.
Helllllp.

Don't panic. You need to go to the locker room in Sub Aquatic Storage Area 1. There in the corner next to a locker is a hole full of water. Jump in and you'll find the key on the bottom. It's easy to find but you can also have a paddle around - it's quite a large area. To get out, you might have to move one of the crates under the hole and jump onto it - it's a bit difficult to climb out otherwise. I actually missed this water hole the first time I was there and had to go back. Best, Tik Tok. PS You'll definitely need this key as you have to stow away in cargo area 5 on the sub to finish the mission.

Oh I never panic, except when I lose my head.
That's where I figured the key should be. I've done a pretty thorough search pattern on the whole sea floor there and nada. I even threw the other keys I have on the floor to get an idea what they look like and how easy they are to see. Pretty easy, it turns out.
I wonder if it's a bug. I'll restart the level and see if the key shows up.
Can you be even more specific where on the sea floor the key is.
Thanks Tok.

The key is not on the sea floor it is in the bilge (a bilge usually refers to ships and is the part that collects water from the hull so that it can be pumped out) of one of the mechanist structures. The journal on the submarine tells you this. If you find the locker room you will find the entrance to the bilge. Once you are in there, finding the key is not too hard. The bilge is completely closed off from the rest of the sea, so the only way to get in is from the inside of the mechanist structures.

Ah much gratitude Chairman. The bilges it is.

Rather than being on the seafloor, one of the mechanist constructions' key is located in its bilge. Bilges are typically seen on ships and are used to collect water from the hull before it is pumped out. This is something the submarine's journal can fill you in on. Finding the locker room also means finding the bilge's access hatch. Once inside, locating the key is a breeze. Since the bilge is sealed off from the rest of the ocean, the only method to enter it is through the mechanical systems themselves.
