I'm doing the Blades quest to go and kill Dagoth Gares, at Illunibi. I've literally been searching the dammed cave for an hour and I still can't find Dagoth Gares. Any advice as to where to find him?
Edit: Nevermind, I found him, cured myself of Corprus and now I am immune to every disease! YAY!

Sorry I did not reply sooner. I was going to look in my strategy guide for you, but I have been busy. Glad you figured it out, its an awesome huge game. Although I have never been immune to all disease. How did you accomplish that?

Hmmm? Oh you go to the Corprusaream (Or howerer it's spelt) and ask Lord Fyr to be cured. He'll say he has made potions, but it always seems to kill the consumer, or something like that. He asks you to get his enchanted boots from the dwarf downstairs, with all the corprus beasts. Take the boots, go upstairs and he'll say "Ah, good. Now I'll only let you drink the potion if you drink it right here in front of me." Select Ok and you'll drink the potion. He'll say that you stil have Corprus but all the simptems are gone. But you should have heard the rumour that when you have Corprus disease you are Immune to any other disease. Voila! You are Immune to every disease in the game...I'm just a little annoyed, because when I had finished every quest I could find, I was hoping on becoming a vampire...

I know you can become a werewolf in the expansions, but I do not think vampire is possible. It would have been neat though. :cheeky:

Actually, it was very possible to become a vampire if I remember correctly, but it was hardly easy, it involved being beaten down by one untill you got a message saying you suffer from some sort of disease (Which name is beyond me), which would turn you into a vampire, though, I could be wrong...

I think it gives a constant effect 100% Disease resist after being cured by Corprus. So just make a spell that reduces your disease resist before getting beaten by said Vampire.

Your right, you can become a vampire in one of the quests. Thanks for the tip.

Hehe...What does it look like if your infected with Sanies Lupas and the Vampiris disease?
(Speaking of Vampiris, the fourth and final effect of the ingrediant "Vampire Dust" gives you Vampiris disease...But if you just consume you only get fortified health and I don't know any other ingrediant with Vampiris effect)

You can't get both, only one.

You can be both through using the ring you get at the end of the BM main quest but you can't be infected with both diseases. I used to run around as a vampire not worrying about when day strikes (unless I was in a city) because I could just turn into a werewolf and find a dungeon near my location, clear it out as a werewolf then wait till night.
