Can't upgrade to Windows 10

I'm finally upgrading my pc from Windows 7 to 10, but I'm getting this error when I run the Media Creation Tool

I went through all the reocmmended fixes, edited the registry, made sure my Win 7 had every last update, and restarted the Windows update service, to no avail. Any ideas?

I'd rather just download Windows 10 from the Microsoft site directly, but they're forcing this Media Creation tool thing

Might be your TLS version. Check here..
(Also: are you making a disc ISO version, or USB?)

So I ended up finding an iso on another site, downloaded, extracted it, and it upgraded smoothly.
It even gave me a free upgrade, no need to activate. I'm surprised it left pretty much all my apps intact, I was worried I'd have to reinstall a bunch of stuff, but it actually did a proper, clean upgrade.
