When I type in the username field, nothing shows up and the cursor doesn't move. When I type in my password, that part is OK, the cursor moves forward and each character I type shows an asterisk.
I tried googling the problem, and I chose result from Facebook. When I go on that page, the username field and password field both work, but when I click the login button, I can watch the hourglass forever.
I quick scanned with my Kaspersky and my Malwarbytes, plus I used two registry cleaners.
Anybody know what's up?

Works this morning. I wonder if Facebook just doesn't let the username field work if they are too busy.

I wouldn't have thought so - there's no reason that their server would need to respond to every keypress you enter for your username. I would suspect it's more likely that you have a toolbar or other browser helper object installed that was getting in the way and that it's cleared up since you've restarted.
Of course, some would say that not being able to sign into facebook is an advantage rather than a problem... :)

I wondered that too, but then why would it register what I was typing in the password field?

I guess you're using Opera, try Fire Fox or Safari. I had the same problem with Opera 9.02.

IE7, but it's never happened again. Weird.
