uh can anyone help me? i dont know what to do next!
the emperor's dead and im stuck in that stupid dungeon and dont know what to do! can anyone please help me? i unlocked the gate u wre suppesed to open from the other side and now i have a locked door in front of me and no key to open it!!!
ive looked everywhere in that stupid dungeon!! please help!!

yep i talked to him and he just says that he cant talk and that we have to keep moving!

So long ago I played the beginning I can't remember..
But I didn't get stuck or anything. Use your torch and search every corner?
It was, afaik, a very easy part of the game :P

In the room where the emperor was killed, a secret passage should have opened that let the assassin in. It should be on your right at the back as you enter the room.

yeah i did that! now beyond that gate is a locked door! thats the door i cant get past!

The surviving blade should have given you a key that opens that door. If he didn't, and he won't talk to you, then you've got a bug. I guess on the PC you could give yourself the key with the console, but I don't know the Oblivion console well enough yet to tell you how.
Or use the Construction Set to edit the door so it's not locked.
Or trying loading a save from before the assassination and see if he gives you the key this time.
Or start again ;)
