I have done everything, were both on hamachi and when ever we host a game it shows our hamachi ip, so its not that its using the internet ip. and we have been trouble shooting this all night. It just say join failed when either of us try to connect to each other. Any ideas?
EDIT: We use to be able to ping eachother via hamachi a while ago, but it still never worked. and now i cant ping my friend but he can ping me, and it still does not work.

I know Hamachi is all the rage these days, but I've never used it.
I've never had any problem getting it to work, with just some simple configuration of the NAT devices one or both of you may be behind.
## Microsoft DirectPlay Static Mappings
tcp 47624
udp 47624
tcp 2300-2400
udp 2300-2400
udp 28800-28900
That's a list of the ports & protocols your NAT device needs to map to your internal IP address and it'll work just fine, so long as you have no stupid local firewalls enabled.
