I just completed Ciaus' first quest to get information from the guy in the fighter's guild (he needed the puzzle box from the dwarven mine). Talking to Ciaus he tells me to ask Sharn gra Margub in the Mages Guild. She's not where she normally is, in the corner of the mage guild's "courtyard." I have no clue where she went. I am thinking it could be related to Ranis Athyr's Mague Guild quest to kill Tashpi Ashibel, the necromancer in Maar Gan. When I asked Sharn about necromancy, she refused to know anything about it and later disappeared. Herein lies my second problem... where is Maar Gan? It's not on the map and it's not a speech option anywhere.
any help would be welcome....

Uh... take another look at that map. Like, about 8 inches north of Balmora...

Take a silt strider to Ald'Ruhn then take the strider from Ald'Ruhn to Mar Gaan
