Can't exit Agroprom underground through designated point. - by Ostriig

Okay, ran into a spot of trouble - after I find Strelok's stash in the Agrorpom underground, I get directed through continue through the level to a new exit point to the surface, but when I got there I found that the manhole I was supposed to crawl out of was covered.

http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb67/Ostriig/manhole.jpgI'm not sure if you can tell in that screenshot (using Stalker Complete 2009, btw), but the minimap did indeed indicate that I was at the right point, but I couldn't climb out. That, and there was nowhere else to go, and the tasks list updated itself upon reaching that spot removing the "find a way out" objective. I looked around for a bit, but I couldn't find any solution, so I just backtracked through the whole place and got out the same way I came in.
Now, that's where I stopped, and I'm guessing there should be no more problems with that quest, but I'm worried about whether this sort of problem could be encountered again. Is this some sort of a known bug, or was there some sort of switch around that I was just to thick to notice?

Oh, crap... All's good then, not a bug, just me being an idiot. :p I'll remember that the next time I can't seem to find my way out of a wet paper bag. Thanks, man!
Just one more thing, do you remember if there was anything waiting for me on the other side at the designated exit, like a plot hook or anything? 'Cause otherwise I'm tempted to just continue from where I got out this time (same way I came in). I've dealt with the headache of selling stuff and I'm not really eager to take my chance with the respawn either.

To be honest, I never leave using that exit. It just leads you right to the middle of the military base, which you can enter by any way you see fit. So there's absolutely no need to go back and leave through there.

Ah, perfect! When I backtracked out of there I had a bandit respawn near the entrance, but what got on my nerves about maybe going back in was the thought of the Bloodsucker getting a replacement.
Thanks again, D'Arcy! :)

There will be a Bloodsucker replacement, but only much later in the game ;)

Don't worry, maybe the soldiers will kill him. I mean, them. Kill them :cheeky:

Bring a gun.
A big one.
And yes, you're not alone with the manhole thing. My first playthrough I was confused too.

It's ok to exit through it at night, when there is considerably less staff at the base, I do it every time. BTW, didn't you forget to search Strelok's hideout in the underground? It's important for getting a true ending.
