Can't connect to Multiplayer games..

Hi taffers!

I got a small prob. my Deus Ex GOTY won't let me connect to Online games.
It shows up the following msg : "Package 'DeusExDeco' version mismatch".
when ever I try to connect to some server....:(

I'v update the corrent version to 1.12f (or somthin like this).

"Package 'DeusExDeco' version mismatch" is a known error msg when you're trying to connect to (up-to-date) DXMP servers with a different then server-sided 'DeusExDeco' copy.

You mentioned that your copy is Game Of The Year version, but GOTY's version is already up to date, so no patch would have been necessary. Did you try MP (Work?) prior to downloading the 1.112FM patch and attempting to "up-date"?

Its most likely the fact that your Deus Ex installation is from a OEM distributed copy (You could have received it free with a soundcard [.. Creative Audigy for example] or perhaps a graphic board [I know Nvidia GeForce was one from my experience]).

What you need to do is uninstall Deus Ex, delete the entire Deus Ex folder and download (http://www.3dgamers.com/dl/games/deusex/deusexpatch_creative.exe.html) THIS PATCH. You then would have to install Deus Ex again and update using this patch instead.

big thx dude, for the advice! I got it with a Creative package, didn' think I'd need a
special patch (or somthin' like that). I'll come back and tell ya if it worked!
