@Ren
Looks better...but...
1) You're making them all tight multi-stranded threads. Tight multi-stranded threads should only appear once in a while, adjacent to groups of single-stranded ones.
2) Making the strands fan-out evenly from a tight point, looks wrong, unless they're coming from a corner.
3) The webs laying on top of the books, look more pronounced and dense than they should be.

Take 'em or leave 'em, I'm unlikely to modify them any further.
I must regretfully fall in the "leave 'em" camp. They're fundamentally quite good, but most of them look like they've been assaulted in a back alley by the sharpen filter.

I'm very partial to an extremely crisp look, that's true.
I should note that while I've got these textures exactly where I want them personally, that doesn't mean I'd have anything against anyone else tweaking the textures I post here, in case noone makes more "neutral" replacements of them from scratch.
I was gonna post my window textures next. Since this is the canon pack, which version of that one window with the dark bit at the bottom should I post?

4 times the variation in a 512 x 512 texture. No grout. A little surface texture and dimensionality. Too much?

Well, just bear in mind that this is Thief, not Painkiller. Sharpening doesn't add detail, it destroys it.

Too much. Looks like 256-color diffusion dither.

More forthcoming. Hopefully I can figure out how to make my library public so I don't have to rabbit punch everyone's bandwith every time I post.
You can go into Album Options in the upper right corner and select Share this Album. Not sure how to do that in the new look, since that doesn't seem to work right in Opera, so I switched back to the old look.
You might want to put all your Thief texture images into their own sub-album, rather than sharing the entire thing.
Tiles: I'd need to take a look at it in-game.

The thing is that was embossing from real tiles toned down to 75% of reality!
Here, this is toned down to just 25%. You barely see any surface variation at all. I don't like it.

This is 50%, and I think the least I want to go.

Should have a smoother, polished look...grainy texture doesn't work.

I'd like to see this 30-grit tile.

The problem with the rough surface is that I can see it in one of two ways - either it looks like a rough surface on the tile, or it looks like the entire surface is fabric.
