For some reason I cannot get thief 2 to work on my new 22 inch monitor. It DID work with my older 15 inch monitor, but now even with ddfix patch applied, it still does not work. I also have the Lidios Indeo system files on the computer also.
Does anyone know what can cause this? I have two GEforce 9400 GT video cards running in SLI and a new Asus ML28 22 inch screen.(This has a 1 Millisecond refresh rate)
My OS is win 7 ultimate. I just cannot figure out what is going on! Of course going from a 15 inch CRT to the monitor I currently have is great, but I hate the fact I cannot get Thief 2 to run on it.

Small question: Do you have 1.19?

I guess he doesn't — or else there would be no need to apply ddfix, neither to install the Indeo codec.

Nope. Version 1.18 I did not even know they made a version 1.19!

It's an unofficial patch that has been released not too long ago, it's working great for me so far and it will make your game fully compatible for newer PC's and widescreen monitors

Thanks for the version 1.19 patch. I will try it on a clean install of version 1.18 and see if that works.

Well I FINALLY got it working, but I had to find a program to automatically put the d3dx9_43.dll file correctly into windows.
Here is a link with instructions in case anyone else has problems like I did.

But the release_notes.txt file indicated exactly where to get the proper DirectX runtime. You shouldn't need any kind of dll fixer or other program besides what's described in the documentation that comes with the patch.

I had the same problem, so I had to download the dll.
