If you take a swim in Hong Kong, you'll find that there is "something" on the west side, below where Maggie Chow lives.
I'm not sure WHAT it is, but I'm sure annoyed trying to figure out what can be done with it.
The woman selling weapon mods tells you some divers were scavaging the wreckage from the Canal Road tunnel collapse. From what I can see, it looks like an underwater road. There's a massive, triangular gap in the canal wall, but I think it's mostly a glitch. There's stuff there, and if you try to swim into it, the most you can do is get on top of it (standing on water).
Anyone figure this out? I'll try and post a screen capture of what I'm talking about. (Ack! No attachments allowed. :( )

I solved it - it's not that hard, just needs a bit of swimming and exploration.
Just some scientist with an upgrade can and a swarm of baby karkians. Some weapon mods and stuff too, but the big prize was the blue goo.
But HOW do you get to it? :p
Whatever is in the water is invisible (glitch?). I don't know how to get around it or through it.

Theres a restaurant in the canals with a kitchen. In the kitchen there is a pile of boxes and some vents. Climb boxes, enter vents :)
Theres like 3-4 baby karkians, some weapon mods, a collapsed tunnel, an upgrade canister, a dead scientist, and his last words.

IIRC, doesn't Tracer say that something happened to someone who was carrying the canister? And if you already have it, JC say so. Been too long since I played.

I think that black bit you're having trouble with is just an edge of world, it doesn't do anything or go anywhere.

Yup, I just played through there.

I'm not so sure. I picked up the upgrade canister, but JC said he'd have to check it out when Tracer brought it up. I think I might've installed it, though, and a similar scenario happens back on Liberty Island with the first augmentation canister. If you install the canister before talking to Jamie, JC will act like he never saw it. :erm:

THANKS!
It's amazing. I'm just playing through to make save points on my laptop, but I'm amazed how much new stuff I'm finding that I never knew was there before.
i.e., The medbot storage locker at Liberty Island in that small bunker thing off the dock. So much easier to take on the NSF knowing I can get repaired anytime I need to.
