Nuisance smoke is a big issue. I am living in an older apartment and we get other people's smoke (of both kinds) coming in not only through the windows but through the walls and the switch plates too. It is annoying as hell but then so is the stench of BBQ's.
I am a bit pissed that edibles won't be available for another year but there are still oils and extracts which can be consumed without burning or added to food.
The new laws are not perfect but they are long overdue.
Another downside is you might be refused entry into the USA as a visitor if you admit to even using pot even ONCE... ever... totally at the discretion of the border agent. And while there is legislation pending tom give free pardons to people previously convicted of simple possession, your criminal record won't be expunged so you still cant travel to the States.

The USA is a shithole nowadays so you wouldn't be missing out on much.

Here in Michigan, we are voting on legalizing recreational use this coming November. Speaking as someone who grows the stuff and has greatly benefited from it personally for its medicinal properties, I kinda hope it fails. And I have two reasons for that:
First, in a State that has actively pursued incarcerating legal medical growers (a State whose own attorney general--now running for governor--issued memos to all district attorneys on how to circumvent the law in order to achieve conviction against licensed medical growers and patients) this issue is suddenly all right because cash can be made. Our anti-drug, anti-marijuana legislators has been courting a large grower from Canada (Prairie Plants) for a couple years now to create a commercialized, corporate run grow, in anticipation of eventual legalization, that will benefit no one other than some Canadian corporation and Michigan legislators; yet, they have created a licensing system that punishes Michigan growers. It's a fucking cash grab for the State and for those who make a living off of the public while screwing the public. It's disingenuous and hypocritical.
Secondly, and most importantly, there is nothing more annoying than interacting with someone who is stoned. Even though I use marijuana nightly, I cannot stand all these stoned bastards already running around the Lansing area (where it has been decriminalized, now, for a couple years). They cannot drive. They cannot make change. They cannot function. What they can do is giggle their asses off on the other end of the line while you try to order a pizza; which will never show up because the dumb, stoned prick couldn't hold it together long enough to input your address.
Amongst the local stoners there is a notion that Michigan will become a Weedtopia once the measure passes--so, of course, it will be voted in favor of. But the reality is "legalization" is far from the truth (they're just too stoned to see it). It's not legalization, it's regulation. And the regulations are not in favor of the public. The whole thing is a sham on the level of Gwyneth Paltrow's miracle vagina rocks.

Some of the best varieties of weed, one toke and the resin is running down your hand, and it takes you a few seconds to get your eyes back open. Sure don't want anyone driving at that moment. I remember ages ago when you could get green for $25/oz, Columbian for $50/oz, and then sinsimelia came out for $175/oz, it was the difference between aspirin and morphine. Exaggeration, but close enough. Knew a guy who took one toke waiting for the bus and had to wave the bus off when it got there because he hadn't normalled out from that one toke yet. Bus driver just shook his head at him and closed the door and drove away. Also saw someone in a warehouse collect compensation because they opened their hand instead of a box with a box cutter not 30 seconds after sparking up. Do it at home on your off time when you have no responsibilities.
Scientist keep dicking with the THC and CBD ratios to mess you up more too. Sells more. The next tobacco company type crap for the next 50 years.

Queue, do you use a higher CBD for medical purposes? Did they do vape testing on you to find your "sweet spot" for medical effectiveness with the least "stone"?

There is "guidance" about pot and driving but there is no reliable technology for objectively measuring intoxication.
Yes there is. ;);)

That was one funny video Dia. :laff: :D Thanks for posting it.
I’m now in Washington state, formerly from California. Stoned drivers are “a thing” all up and down the west coast of the USA.
Some Typical stoned driver behavior:
1. Stopping at stop signs for 20 or more seconds with no one coming from any other direction.
2. Waiting 10 to 20 seconds to go on a new green light.
3. Merging onto the freeway at 25 MPH and proceeding to the fast lane in 100 yards.
4. Typically doing 10 to 20 MPH under the limit.
5. Yielding to drivers that are 100 yards away.
6. Making U turns from the far right lane.
7. Parking via the braille method
Some FAQs from WA pot shops recommend at least a 5 hour wait between the last toke and getting behind the wheel. Considering that some distillates are over 90% THC, 5 hours seems a little too short of a wait. Eat a Gummy Bear and you might as well take off 2 days.
