#1 taffer on 5/8/2002 at 21:35
ar.. just a little out of my topic, about the room right next to Paul's room in the hotel, why can they keep "banging" throughout the shooting outside of their room? do they just get more excited about guys yelling at pain????

And that kinda bugged me the third or fourth time I played through. I wanted to see how long I could play the government stooge angle and, to be honest, I didn't find anything in the way of "evidence" that would honestly lead me to believe that Paul was telling the truth. I mean, if the "Bad Guys" can fabricate things and cover up and tell lies and spread disinformation, I don't see why Paul couldn't have in order to further his own agenda. For all anyone knows, he got monkeyed with and became more of a Patty Hearst, yeah?
Hrhh.
But, story-telling is always linear, no matter how many choices you get and how much the atmosphere and such makes it seem non-linear. Not only would a pure free-form game be a nightmare to program and anticipate all eventualities, but it would ultimately be boring and frustrating and just plain unloved, even by those who would profess great enthusiasm for such a concept before they saw it.
I mean, how much ass would Morrowind be if there were no quests?
I'll tell you how much ass it would be: Total.

Until recently I never realized what a bunch of fuckin assholes go to this site. I asked a simple question. Excuse the fuck out of me if I haven't played the game over and over and over and over and know everything about it. Maybe my post sounded callous, but goddammit I'm learning the game. This doesn't include the couple of you who had useful information. And a special 'sod off' to Fred Chook, who had the most useless fucking comment ever.

I do try.
By the way, it's 'site', not 'sight'.
And it's not so much the fact that you're ignorant as that you'd kill your own brother for 500 skill points.
That's nasty, really it is.

And [Paul] said to [JC] "friend", "are you betraying the Son of [your old] man with a [sniper rifle]?" (DX.26:50, Tron Hotel).
and continued,
"[JC], you're nothing to me now; not a brother, not a friend. I don't want to know you, or what you do."

If you are referring to the points you get when you reach the med lab during your escape from the MJ12 lab under UNATCO HQ I think you get those exp whether he's dead or alive.[/SPOILER]

Excuse me while I piss my pants.:laff:
But does that mean it's O.K to kill NSF or UNATCO troopers for even less?:sly:
Note you don't get skill points for killing THEM.
Also note that I would kill my younger sibling just for being a pain in the butt. Screw skill points; that's just an added bonus.:joke: :laff:
