I've tried this a number of times. Some battle will lead to some of my attributes being damaged. Go into temple, activate all of the shrines, expect to press F1 and see the red numbers all gone ... Never happens. Is there any way to heal attributes aside from casting a spell or taking a potion or eating an ingredient? It's not like it's terribly inconvenient to heal them--I now keep a few sprigs of Alkanet and Primrose leaves, a bit of crab meat, etc., just for healing attributes. But I thought some of the loading screens had tips like go to a temple to heal your attributes.

I just heal my attributes at the main altar in the middle of the room. ;)

Try using the big altar in front, the one that the pews are facing. Before you do, remove all enchanted items that give you spell absorbtion, because the incoming blessing can be absorbed in exactly the same way as a magical attack. If you're playing a character with The Atronarch birthsign you have a 50% chance of absorbing each "restore", so you might have to wait a day and try again to get everything fixed up.

I'm an atronach and knew about the spell resistance chance. Whenever I have gone up to the main altar my crosshair never changes to the activation icon. But I'll try it again. Thanks.

You are getting the message about being blessed, and not the repent one? The nine will not bless and restore those with bounties, nor those who's infamy is greater then their fame.
