reading a thread in which downwinder obsesses over minor details in a decades-old video game feels oddly comforting.
Not a bunch of grapes nor a plum. DOWNWINDER is our healing fruit.

Things that are constant in this world:
- the Sun rises in the east and sets in the west
- time only moves forward
- downwinder posts dumb shit on TTLG

In the context of the current dismantling of democracy in the US, war in Ukraine and other parts of the world, and the accelerating climate catastrophe, reading a thread in which downwinder obsesses over minor details in a decades-old video game feels oddly comforting.
You have something better to suggest? We all will die someday. What's the reason of doing anything then, according to your words?

lets all focus on healing fruit as, its a key artifact = yes i upgraded its statue in thief lore, the mighty healing fruit is straight from the master builder
also the small gold plate is also very important as it holds the healing fruit and the plate is good loot

The ape beasts do not say that there are no more plums in existence. I think that they were just talking about how one of them took all the plums from the other one's personal stash.
It is possible that we were not intended to infer that the plums being referenced are the same fruit that can be found, but it seems reasonable to think that they are.
There is probably some kind of Chekhov's Gun principle here. Assume that any mentioned objects have in-game significance, unless if there is a positive reason to think otherwise?
Is there a positive reason to think that the plums were just some randomly mentioned fruit that have no relevance to the in-game collectible fruit?
If not, then I for one think it's best to stick with the Chekhov's Gun-style assumption.

i understand what you are saying cigam, but to assume it meant the same fruit is to assume the text in a readable in thief 3 that mentions plums, but in thief 3 there is no healing fruit
so i then can say it is not the same since there are none in thief 3, but a single line of text
unless the person who made the healing fruit would be the only person who can 100% confirm, or the person who told that person to make it or the person who coded it into game might know?
