Hi all,
I have a map which optimizes just fine. But if I add a few objects to it, it stops optimizing (remove_poly_edge error). I always thought this error had to involve the brushwork itself.
My first thought was that I had accidentally moved a brush while working, but I've been able to replicate the issue be reverting to a prior save, optimizing, then re-adding the objects. Moreover, when I enter game mode, it doesn't ask if I'd like to re-portalize. What could cause this?
In case its relevant, the objects in question are bounds triggers, markers, rocks, doors and desks.

Doors create portals, so to answer your question, yes.
I would double check the position of your doors. It's good practise to treat doors like terrain brushes in terms of ensuring they are snapped to the grid.

Ah, good to know. I have a door set at a weird angle—that's probably the culprit right there! Thanks!
