I have been playing this game since 98, and would like to catch up on whats been going on since I have not played for several in several years. I have also played many FMs, and can not wait to see what is new.

I assume from the date that you're talking about Thief: The Dark Project, but it would have been better if you'd just said so instead of throwing a mystery pronoun out there.
In any case, why don't you just try? Worst-case you'll get glitched textures and/or a choppy framerate. It's not like you'll die.

stay away from anything hd and you'll be good - that means a few modern FMs where the authors have really stretched the limits of NewDark to the maximum might be out of you reach.
also, everybody dies, just not from running Dark Engine games.

Yes, I meant The Dark Project, Gold, Metal Age, 2X and about 100 FMs give or take 100 since 98'. I even tried to make my own fan mission,
but when I read the part it is like carving out of a block, I got confused and quit. Pathetic I know. There are worse ways to go than by running dark engine.
