Can I get a GOTY Soundtrack?

False advertisement. But I guess it's too late now.

Actually I also bought GOTY without soundtrack CD and the rest of the stuff, but my case is different, as It was an unofficial sold-out edition, and they weren't promising any bonuses on the box.

I have the game soundtrack converted and MP3ed for a long time, anyway.
2 hours of DX muzak! :cool:

There appear to be several versions of the GOTY soundtrack floating around the 'net, and at least the soundtrack's composer, Alex Brandon, mentioned in an (http://www.deusex-machina.com/articles/alexbrandon.asp) interview that he wouldn't mind people distributing it. I'm not sure however if Eidos would approve, or if it is their decision in the first place.

What do you think about choosing a high-quality CD-rip from the various versions of the GOTY soundtrack out there ((http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1061286#post1061286) Jashin and a few others said they also had it) and putting it up at (http://www.ttlg.com/other/jukebox/) The TTLG Jukebox?

ANYWAY, most, or rather ALL the songs that are in the soundtrack are already IN your folders. You just need a UMX player codec. You can find it at (www.winamp.com).

Better to have something than nothing! Anyway, the Deus Ex main theme live version can be downloaded from Planet Deus Ex. It's quality isn't that good but the music is great.

Comparing the game music to the GOTY soundtrack isn't really fair. Granted, they do have mostly the same tracks, but to be able to properly listen to the game music, you have to convert and edit it quite a bit. And even then, the GOTY soundtrack has some nice remixed tracks. Besides, the GOTY soundtrack is essentially abandonware, the game music isn't.

The fact is, he doesn't have the OST and there isn't any way to get it less' he finds it on the streets or purcahase ANOTHER copy of the GOTY. I'm saying he should stick with what he has since there really is no other alternative.
