So "commie monkey fucker"
is a legitimate insult!
Damn it! Chimps are apes, not monkeys!
It's commie ape fucker!

Can anybody subscribed to New York Times, or who read the article, give me some sort of idea how exactly they identified some of our DNA as Neanderthal DNA?
Try googling Neanderthal DNA to get the skinny on the controversy.
Meanwhile, if you want to see where you fall on the continuum between sapien
and homo, (

Many years ago I was online looking for helpful hints about how to housebreak our new puppy and I stumbled upon a forum called Love Your Dog (or something similar - it's been a long time). Needless to say, after about the first 30 secs. of reading I realized the members meant that literally. Don't know if any of the members actually ever had litters; never went back to check.
I needed counselling after that.

Iirc the NYTimes article on this, there was another big issue that seemed more eyebrow raising, to me at least, than interbreeding between humans and neandrethal. Apparently, the homo line never made a clean break with the to-become-chimpanzee line for a good first million years to even start things off, and there was a hybrid population between the two, sort of like mules. This idea is supposed to reconcile the earliest hominid fossil date with the date of the latest chimp-shared genetic markers at a much later date, and this explanation is better than the alternatives.
The big question is which population died out, some of them saying that the pure-human line actually died out and the hybrids went on to become the homo line (when somehow they became sexually viable). So you're all a bunch of fucking hybrid monkeymen. :D (I mean apemen, thanks nicker).
edit: Oh, the also awesome application of decoding Neandrethal DNA is that we actually have a viable chance of cloning one and bringing the species back into existence ... a sort of belated "Sorry, guys; hope this makes up for it" from humans for starving them into extinction in the first place.
My only question is if we'd have to amend the Declaration on the Rights of Man, Bill of Rights, "all men are created equal", etc, but to say what?

Yes, but you know that genetic research has made a big (

On a more serious note, browsing a study book on rare birth defects makes a laic think it's really possible.
You know, babies with gills and stuff.
EDIT : oh, this is what I've been looking for!
