How about you give us a discourse on how Intelligent Design answers the question "How", then?
OK. We know that Edwin Hubble discovered that the Universe is expanding ( the doppler effect ), right? This means that there's a point in the past when the Universe has started to expand. Most scientists think this is the moment of the birth of the universe ( the classic Bing Bang theory )... After this moment the Universe has started to expand with a speed that's high enough to prevent it from a gravitional collapse ( or a Big Disruption ).
So, what are the characteristics of the point of birth? Mass -> infinity Dimensions -> zero , Density -> infinity. Singularity.
This is what Reneral theory of relativity can't explain (and what intelligent designers think it's the moment when God created the universe ).
We live in a three-dimensional world... We know the forth dimension - the time. God, however, is not limited amongst these dimensions. From the position of God the singularity is quite clear :) But the limits of our senses is why we can't explain what's exactly in the point of singularity.
This explains "Who" and "How".

No it doesn't.
And not only did you not answer the question "How", you tried to answer it for a completely different scientific field than the one we're talking about.

as you wish. Plus, sometimes we have to get outside the boundary of proof and start to think with faith :P

Oh, I can answer that one. The clue is in the name.
The purpose of ID is to make room for a who in the equation by answering the how with 'someone must have designed it that way'. ID doesn't propose to identify who god whoever might be. [/disingenuous wankery]
That's not the problem with ID. The problem (no doubt resulting from the desire to bring up the who question rather than do science) is that it's baseless shit. To date there's nothing empirical to suggest anything vaguely alive must have been intelligently designed.

... lol... a question came into my mind... how can you be sure that the world exist?
Vigil on 18/11/2006 at 20:41
So you're admitting that Intelligent Design's attempt to answer the question "How?" is "Oh, God did it. And I'm afraid the mechanics of it are a priori incomprehensible to us."
In case you hadn't noticed, this has not answered the question. It has instead stated that the answer is unknowable, unprovable and (as far as you're concerned) entirely irrelevant.

Oh for fuck's sake grow up. Take a philosophy course and come back when you're prepared to argue like an intelligent adult instead of a 15-year-old who thinks he's the first person to have discovered sophistry.

Do you ever think that science will prove the existence/nonexistence of God?

you're right. Let's stop discussing this because I'm tired and I want to sleep :)

I've got a hypothesis that Bulgarian Taffer is an utter moron and goddamn if that bitch ain't close to becoming a theory.
Also: I love it when Noid gets his indignation on in threads like these.
STREET SCIENCE HOLLA
Also 2: Totally crushing on Gestalt, Vigil, and Jay's work here <3<3<3. All we need is Monkeysee and I'll bust out the Cristal.
