love that goddamn suit. I would've bought one recently for my new job if they'd had one in that shade. I managed to get a pair of "pants" just like that at the weekend for work and I love them, but damn... I want a suit just like that.
Anyway, that's a shot to say: Hey, he's managing to look like Bond...
Then he goes and does this:

didn't a repeat of
that part of Dr. No, we got a repeat of the good part in Die Another Day... ¬¬
And I'm guessing he'll lose a lot of points for the lack of chest hair, unless they CGI it on afterwards. ;)

lol child bearing thighs there daniel
and also look at his hands in that first shot
more like samantha bond

'k; I never saw that pic before. He might make a decent Bond afterall. Maybe.
(I still would have preferred Adrian Paul or Clive Owen.)

Clive Monotowen? Please tell me you're joking. He would have been awful. I'm glad it's Craig just because it means the most boring man in film didn't get the gig. However, I agree with the expectations that the actor won't make any difference; the film will be a pile of shit full of ads and Carry-On gags.
My vote for Bond actor: Jennifer Connelly, in 007's first sex-change adventure.

Clive Monotowen?
No,
you've got to be kidding! Owen is an excellent actor! Obviously you didn't see him as the Professor in the Bourne Identity. Plus, he's sexy as hell!

I will have to agree with you on that one.

He was good in Bourne - his normal mode of acting actually worked there, and bonus: he wasn't in it much. And to my great surprise, he was excellent in Closer and managed to vary the pitch of his voice quite a lot, well done Clive. But he was absolutely, soul-destroyingly lifeless and crap in everything else I've seen him in - off the top of my head, that includes Sin City (monotone + what the hell is that accent?), the abominable Croupier and The Hire short films/expensive BMW ads. Imagining how he might handle Licence To Kill + Bawdy Quips is the stuff of nightmares.
And he's dead sexy, eh? Thank you Dia, I'll take that opportunity to be obvious and dismissive and state that your appreciation of his acting talent is coloured by dreamy-eyed girlish infatuation.
Jennifer Connelly, on the other hand...
Dia on 27/2/2006 at 15:50
Infatuation, hell! It's called lust.
ohyouaresuchahypocritefacemrhottotrotforjennifer! :p ;)

Ugh, I couldn't stand him in Closer, though me not liking the movie probably didn't help. I thought he did his job pretty well in Sin City though...

What? Much as I love the sultry vibe that the woman has, Bond as a woman would just be wrong, not least because it would be just for the hell of it.
p.s. you have no power over me
piln on 27/2/2006 at 19:40
Well, I think an unhealthy overdose of 'wrong' is just what the Bond movie franchise needs. They've already made such a pathetic cock-up of trying to update traditional Bond movie values they might as well just chuck all that nonsense in the bin and go mental. OK, I was kinda joking with the sex change idea, but you know what? I'd be 1000 times more likely to see that movie than the braindead, same-again garbage that we will no doubt end up with. Especially if the villain was a big cat stroking a small bald man.
