Yes, this is Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I visited the town on a business trip a few weeks ago, I even have a photo I took that shows the same view. :) Too bad it was quite foggy when we visited the Jesus-statue. Although, this is actually taken on a nearby hill, and not directly at where the statue is located (IIRC).

It is known as one of the most dangerous cities in the world. My sister-in-law just returned from a holiday there with friends and she said they felt had to stay on their guard at all times. It's a shame really as the scenery is so beautiful.
