What an outstanding mission.
I never post, but this work of art compels me to thank everyone involved in its creation.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Thank YOU!
So glad you enjoyed it. There will be a new Conall adventure relatively soon, so stay tuned!

I'm having problems with textures and particle effects clipping through tree trunks. I've never experienced this with any other fan mission. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

I could see through tree trunks as i ran by them. Not sure if you're seeing the exact same thing i did but it didn't cause any game play problems for me at all.

Can I get some screenshots?

Are you playing with any texture packs or anything other than vanilla Thief 2 + this FM?
howeird on 2/3/2020 at 02:58
Nothing but 1.27b patch. I don't have it installed. I'm playing a different fm now. I can reinstall it but i think the effect only happens as I'm running by the trees and not when I'm standing still.

Played the first mission, a nice vertical little city mission, and I enjoyed the premise of breaking into my own house too.
Something bizarre happened, though. After entering my house through a window, I was searching around when I heard a battle outside. The rogues who were supposedly guarding my house on the outside were fighting a mage! They managed to kill it, and the mission ended. I had "failed" the no-kill objective!
After reloading a quicksave I was able to repair the situation by knocking out an offending rogue mid-battle, and the mage ran off.
But I have no idea where he came from! Did I disturb him earlier while sneaking around? And he followed me to my front door? Despite me entering another way?
I don't hold it against the mission, just a weird AI quirk. But if it's possible for AI to fight each other, it's a bit unfair for me to be penalized for their actions!
I didn't read though the rest of the thread, so I don't know if anyone else reported something like this. But it's strange!
Great mission anyway, but I'm looking forward to the rest of the campaign. Second mission looks awesome!

All right, I just finished mission 1 & 2 and gotta say they are incredible, I enjoyed both of them through and through! I had no trouble with mission one. In mission two I could get by without help aswell, since the objectives were logical and pretty cool to do, but the enemies were so tough and annoying (like those fucking bugs!). I´m glad I played on normal difficulty, I imagine the enemies are even tougher on expert difficulty. I also had trouble with the loot goal, I managed to get the 3.000 without help, but only got a bit over 3.000. Also 0/6 secrets. I´m always bad with secrets like those tiny switches, but this is a new record for me:laff: At one point I even thought that I must have missed a whole place (which would have not been weird cause you can easily miss sth. with those many caves), so I came here to check. At first I thought I missed Nilbog cause everyone said its the town with the ratmen.. only to find out that was what meant is the place with the APEBEASTS! :D So I guess I didn´t miss any place and just missed amazingly lot of loot. But oh well. Still, a very enjoyable playthrough! Definitely gonna replay one day! :)
You really never disappoint random_taffer, your fanmissions are some of my all time favourites! Looking forward to playing mission 3 & 4! :D

I eventually got all the loot in Mission 1 (on Normal). I like to get the job done but confess it took some time. Even with a helpful spoiler in the thread that the Secret switch is just to the right of the fireplace in Wimple Manor, from Yandros who “didn't think I hid it all that well” I of course spent a long time looking at the wrong fireplace. Doh! :D As for an elusive final 40 loot, which I narrowed down to “Spice bag under wooden deck”, as noted in the excellent Loot List, that still took me ages to locate. *Shurely shome mishtake* as Conall might say. :D Message to self - the map is very precise and so is the wording on the Loot List!
Thank you to all involved. Much appreciated.
Onwards to Mission 2 although reading that last post makes me hesitate !
