Cammona Tong, How do I... - by saejin3000

The way I understand it, over 5000 bounty means the guards run up to you and ask for money/jail/resist no matter what. A 10000+ bounty means guard run up, guard say "you die little man", you die. You can clear it at the Thieve's Guild or at the quest guy. But the quest guy gives you a nice book (stat raising, one of the wolf queens or maybe a lesson of vivec i think) if you have no bounty when you get your reward, for "being discreet".

Well, sorry to dig back old threads, but i really would appreciate some help here.
My story is that i slaughtered the "bad guys" at the social club, and then saved the game by mistake. I ran to the fort Moonmoth, where Varro is and got attacked by the guards [ at least I got 46lvl character, so they could barely hit me] and got my name cleared. Then I left the fort, and it was quiet, the guards were friendly :). I left, and saved the game [by mistake, all was "nice], then went to caldera (after i started the game, loaded, it was few days later), and the guards of caldera attacked me... :(
So now, i dont have a good savegame and I am quite "far" in the game. I dont really want to kill all those poor guards (despite killing them doesnt decrease my reputation ).
I think there is a way to type "something" in the console, or write a script, to stop the guards attacking me, and thats my question: how?
PS.
my character is full legal, and i dont use any cheats, but this time it looks like there is no other choice :<

Well, I'm not a thief or a murder--I'm not passing judgment, just stating the limits of my experience with this sort of problem. If you are a member of the Thieve's Guild, I understand that (for a fee) you can erase your bounty. At least that way you won't feel like you are cheating. If that doesn't solve your problem, there is a console command that might work. I stood in the middle of Caldera and put an arrow into an innocent (those guards do swam quickly!). Then I opened the console (~) and typed:
player->setPCCrimeLevel, 0
After the momentum of their weapon blows was disipated on my person the guards settle down quite nicely. Right now, we're all over at Shenk's laughing about it; they even insist on paying for my drinks. :thumb:

He is talking about being attacked after PC crime level is paid off. This error happens when you attack a guard before they talk to you. When they run up to talk to you they look like they will attack then take a while before talking to you so sometimes you might attack back. When you attack that guard every guard of that type will go to attack you. If I am right then only guards of a certain type will attack you?
"Imperial Guard"->stopcombat player
"Imperial Guard"->setfight 0
This will only effect the imperial guards, switch imperial with redoran or whatever to stop the others if they are attacking.
EDIT: Well in the case of redoran it is actaully: "redoran guard female" & "redoran guard male" but the others are normal.

Thanks a lot. The person behind the manual for morrowind scripting helped, Ghan, too. So to make this work, it is needed to provide the person`s id, not only "imperial guard" but like "imperial guard0000009"
Of course "" marks can be avoided if there is no space in the actor`s name. Sometimes it may be important to reset the AI with RA in console, or PayFine.
And one more thing - to get the actors` id, click on them while in console mode.
Ok, thats all, thanks for the help! I`m so glad i can continue my game :cool: :cool:
