Hello!
I started to work on a FM a few years ago, but I took a break from Thief for a while. Now I'm back and I'd like to continue with my project. However, I'm experiencing a problem. When I move the camera in the editor windows (using LMB, RMB or LMB+RMB) the camera sort of spins around and is hard to move in the direction I want. Very annoying, and this never occured to me before. The same thing happens when I try to move a brush, it spins around and moves to a different place than I want. It's hard to explain.
Any ideas what might be causing this problem? I am using Windows XP.
I have tried to use a different mouse, but the same thing happens. I have also tried to change the mouse sensitivity on my computer but no change. Is it a setting in the editor?
Sorry if I'm asking something that somebody else already might have asked, but I have searched the forums for hours and I couldn't find anything helpful.
Thanks! :)

The first thing I thought of was hardware, too. Mouse control can get a bit awkward in T3Ed (for instance, the mouse wheel for zooming sometimes doesn't work for a couple of minutes on my setups), but the crazy spinning around which you described has never occurred to me. If you haven't messed with the (few) settings in T3Ed, the editor itself shouldn't be a problem. Did you use a cable mouse as well?

What happens if you keep the mouse-buttons pushed down in any other application?
Maybe you have enabled what I would call the 'sticky mouse-button' functionality ?
(means: press it down for a while and it will stay pressed until you press the button again)
In Windows check the dialog where you can modify the settings of your mouse.
I do not have XP anymore and every mouse-vendor creates his own dialogs anyway for that,
but you might find it at the same place where you can control the double-click-speed.

I tried the editor in Windows 7 - problem solved! ;)
But thanks for your help anyway :)
