This might be a wild stab in the dark, but last week I started (after a lapse of 10 years) my collection of this year's Panini Official World Cup stickers. I last did this for the Merlin Premier League 95/96 season and in the last few days my sticker-buying habit has blossomed into a blissful addiction. There are few things to beat the joy of taking home a valuable shiny with your last few coppers scraped from the bottom of your pocket at 5 mins to closing time!
Anyway, I was wondering if any other TTLGers are into this sort of highly sad and geeky passtime and if so, whether some sort of a postal swap system would be in order. This goes out especially to those who've got previous on fantasy.premierleague, I know it in my bones some of you sad bastards have collected football stickers at some point :)

I completed Norwich and Blackburn in '93/'94, I think. But petered off slightly. I remember trading 2 shinys for Gary Megson because he was the last one I had to get.
But no, no way in hell am I doing it now. ;)

Come on, it's only cost me about £40 so far :p
DO IT FOR THE SHINIES, MAN! THE SHINIES!

Haha, Alan Shearer was like GOLD DUST around 1993/94. Come on man, I'll swap you the entire Nottingham Forest squad :(
However, World Cup 1994 was (I'm pretty sure) about the last time I collected these. I had GIANLUCA PAGLIUCA and everything - he was an awesome keeper. Not as great as Bobby "Divine Ponytail" Baggio in the footballing stakes though, obviously.
Sorry Naartjie, I know you had high hopes for me.
If it helps, I hear that (
http://www.onetouchfootball.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=10;t=000610) everyone is awash with Mark Van Bommel this year. For some reason. They always claim to produce the same number of each sticker though .. the lying bastards.

I have the entire Holland squad minus Van The Man already, compared to 3 Spanish players :erg:

Football? Nerd? If I remember my high school correctly, those don't really correlate, but whatever.
Thief13x: YEAH. DAMN BRITISH MESSING UP OUR SPORTS NAMES.
