Hey, I've encountered a few problems so far with the game. The fact that the game is so awesome only makes it worse.
1. The game won't load a new level as I approach Jock's chopper or the police boat early on. I tried using the objects, but they just say "Let's go." I worked around it with the legend menu cheat, but it messes up objectives and continuity.
2. When Jacobson gives me a message, the dialog box won't go away unless I can talk to someone. The problem with this is that I can't save for LONG periods of time.
Has anybody else had these problems? Anybody know of any solutions? I've already downloaded the sp patch, but it didn't help.
Thanks alot.

The ramp and the corrupted savegame aside, the weirdest bug has to be Manderley telling me that I have killed NSF terrorists with my very own hands after the airplane. ;)

Sounds exactly like the problems you get with the warez version because the speech is ripped ;).
If you DO have an official copy:
- Do you hear speech?
- If so, do the character's lips move? (the movements are based on the sound, though they look crappy)
- If so, does the dialogue in the intro work? (does it ever get past the "Your appointment with FEMA should be finalized within the week" part?).
Before just getting my copy of DX I tried a lot of things to get the warez version to work properly, but that just involved taking the speech datafiles from the first two demos and editing them so the game uses them for the other levels too...

just go buy the damn game, it's only about 10 bucks too. warez rips absolutely suck for purposes other then evaluation.

I've never had that problem with the ramp, but I'll tell you one freakin ANNOYING bug: If I make a save, quick or full, with my Vision Enhancement aug still on, when I load that save again the aug is still on but NO VISION ENHANCEMENT. And clicking it off and on repeatedly doesn't shift it. I end up having to reload again, which totally stuffs up my flow.
But that's minor quibble.

The old 'Superfly Johnson' fix for Deus Ex, you have to love that one.

Lol, I've seen that problem too GBM. I was above water trying to see through the surface to shoot some people, and saved and reloaded... Realized my bioelectric level was still running down...
I think there's another bug if you're looking through a scope and you save and reload. I've only come upon in a few times though.

Another nuisance is on my computer here connected to the speed run Aug. Once disabled, sometimes JC is still hurrying to the left. Sometimes quite unexpected, when he hurries back out of the nice shadow into which he just ran, sometimes quite deadly when he hurries off the ledge of the skyscraper to which he just ran.
I can turn it off by wild clicking on move forward, strafe left & strafe right, but it is not always clear if he is in that 'lets hurry to the left' mood after a short run.
If I say 'sometimes', I mean basically a chance of 1:1, approximately, once the speed Aug is in level 3 or higher at least.
