And don't underestimate the power of Semi-solid brushes!
Amen to that. I found that method consistantly eliminated BSP errors nine times out of ten.
BTW,
never be tempted to mess with the build sliders. It usually creates more problems than it solves.

Really? I've never had problems with build sliders messing up BSP, and I've used it a lot. Anyway if you do get an error you can always reset the options to default.

What is this build slider? Never heard of it. Do you mean those under build options? In the BSP tutorial Z postet it was said that that method should always be the last one.
And i want to say one thing: I love semisolids! :D

Actually, semisolid brushes are not supported in Flesh. It will just become a solid brush when you build Flesh BSP. Only normal subtractive/additive brushes, plus nonsolid for zone portals are supported.

I always suspected that was the case. You can set a brush to be semisolid and it will change colour, but since the Flesh BSP is entirely separate from the Unreal BSP it would surprise me if the developers had had time to implement advanced stuff like semisolids in TDS.

Does that mean that semisolids arent supported?? Because when i add a semisolid brush the bsp cuts dont react on the added object. So there must be some effect these semisolids apply.

Maybe they don't work properly, but they've saved me more than a few BSP hole problems, and that's good enough for what I want, and if you use the zone/portal view (the only way we seem able to see BSP cuts) they don't fragment surfaces, so that's close enough for me.
:D
