Yay for B&N gift cards.
About a third of the way through it. A bit confused, but overall I'm enjoying it.
Female detectives seem to be a recurring theme in the media I go through: Deidre McMannus from Archangel Protocol, Elisa Maza from Gargoyles, technically April O'Neil.
Unfortunately, I just started watching Gargoyles this morning, and so Harper's gotten stuck with some of Maza's general look and voice :erg:

...would be a lot funnier if that same joke wasn't made each and every time.
What? Did I miss the plethora of threads that have BSP in the title?
I mean c'mon graphics humor you can't get better than that, cupcake.

I can't tell if you're being serious, so... Not plethora, but there's been 2.
Which... Oh. Neither of which you posted in, so I suppose I shouldn't have snapped. I thought you were just trying to be the first one to make the joke this time, and it was sort of old.
Here are the original jokes:

So where are the Quake maps? Huh? The thread title promised maps!
Also, I finished the book last night; Quite good, need to go back through and read it a bit slower. You throw a LOT of jargon at the reader/Harper which left me about as confused as she was for the first half; but while she started to get a handle on things, I was still in the dark. When the action heats up, I tend to read faster. And you put some important stuff during the action sequences. So I must stew on it and read it again. Figures. I have to travel to the internet to -- aw, it's just not coming. Sounded like I had a nice butchering of Rebecca's log to Tommy going on with the first part, but I can't make it work.

I got the University Bookstore's last copy - they SAY they have 5 in stock but there was only one on the shelf. Hmmm. Presumably they'll be fully stocked before your speaking engagement.

Well, it turns out there's no Barnes and Noble in Brisbane so I guess I'm going to have to hunt around online for it.

If it helps I pulled a copy off the shelf at B&N and set it in front of the other Sci-fi & Fantasy titles with it's cover boldly forward, instead of lost in a sea of spines.
Gonna have to do the same. I read your preview and was really looking forward to its release. Expect a bit of revenue from my pocket soon.
