Expansive vistas, views of a huge section of city from a rooftop, long-distance views, etc. are a pretty good sign that NewDark is allowing it. OldDark had a rather stifling limit on how many polygons could be on-screen at once before random ones started disappearing. You'll often see older FMs say "you can get on the rooftops, but you might get glitches", and this is what they're referring to.

After entering the palace with the secondary code, I went to the opening on the floor that led down to a tunnel that goes straight then makes a left turn. But the end of that part of the tunnel was blocked by a stone slab with inscriptions with no way of proceeding further to get to the treasury. Earlier I did look up at the waterfall and could see those bugs everywhere even in the tunnel but those just sat still staring at each other. Could this be a bug in the game ?

My bad, there were no inscriptions on a stone slab blocking the tunnel to the treasury. The tunnel appears to end just there. Still cannot reach the treasury. But for some reason those bugs are not there anymore. Any suggestions ?

i think you got to move that one statue and go below and do the scarab bug puzzle to access it? copy movement of the scarabs if they stop go back a bit till you see a change, its a back and forth type puzzle with movement watch the bugs to copy

If someone let me play these missions and said they were from Thief 3 (not talking about DS) I would believe them. Especially the cutscenes and custom effects stood out to me.
Really an exceptional FM, absolute must-play imo. The museum alone was amazing, if I would ghost missions I still would have knocked out all the guards so I could read all the plaques and look at the exhibits. :cheeky:
The story was good and interestingly told and the two missions together with the sequel felt coherent.

Hi everyone, I was really enjoying playing this mission, after ominous bequest, but I've encountered a small problem, during the first dialogue with keeper Lennard, what happens is that Lennard stops talking after saying "but i have proof Garrett", so I'm stucked and I can't proceed further. So I was wondering if you have any ideas, I've tried multiple loaders and I also tried re-installing the fm, but nothing. Does someone have a save right after the dialogue? So that i can bypass the problem.

Could you upload a savegame you have from before this problem? It might be possible to do a bit of surgery on it, which would also mean you can keep your current session intact (e.g. objectives, loot, knockouts etc).

Hm. I downloaded the savegame, went straight to Garrett's home, talked to Lennard, went down into the cellar, back up to continue speaking to Lennard, and everything worked. When he vanished (as he should), I stopped playing. It does not seem to be a problem with the mission or the savegame.
However, when I made the necessary scripts for the mission inaccessible to the game (by renaming the osm folder of the game as well as deleting the scripts (NVScript.osm, tnhscript.osm, script.osm) from the Broken Triad FM folder), the conversation stopped at exactly the point you mentioned. By the way, I also saw no subtitles then, although Keeper Lennard's lines are subtitled. Did you see these subtitles?
Anyway, it looks like these scripts do not work properly (or maybe not at all) for you. Strange, there seems to be an epidemic of script failures these days...-scratches head-
