So I am replaying the mission again after many years and everything went fine until I have finished my objectives and get back to the apartment - listen to the conversation and after I hear that there is "proof" nothing else happens. I know from memory what is supposed to happen but it stops there. I have tried reloading and same thing happens. any ideas? it may be a script but everything up to this point worked beautifully

also when I select ctrl shift alt end to go to next mission as I cannot finish the first one, the next mission does not start

Make sure you have all the latest scripts in your t2 osm folder. Thats the issue most of the time. One of the resident experts will be able to help you if it isnt scripts. Make sure you have t2fix latest version which I believe is 1.27c.

Guys, I just finished this mission on Expert mode (6h20 final save, 12-15h actual game time)
This has to be the most impressive mission I have ever played.
The amount of work that was put in is simply amazing.
And it comes with coherence, everything makes sense at the end, every questions find an answer, every detail gets an explanation.
On a technical aspect, it is creative and consistent.
Every part of the mission seems very well inspired to me, the difficulty is well balanced.
I only needed to check the walkthrough 3 times :
Mission 1 : I couldn't find the exit of the catacombs (didn't see the banner was frobable)
Mission 2 : I didn't see the ladder in the fountain to frob the gold plaque, I checked for nearly 1 hour, knowing where/what to search but I got stuck)
Mission 2 : I couldn't see the scarab leading to the treasury, I had not been under the waterfalls to be able to see them
Otherwise everything went with fluidity, it was a pleasure playing it and I felt at the same time proud to finish it and sad it was over.
Congratulations for that huge piece of work, and thank you for spending 4 years (+1 for Ominous Bequest) for us to have good times !

Hi, everyone! I'd like to ask for some technical help.
I've played roken Triad (several times) in the past. I've decided this would be a good opportunity for another playthrough, but I've run into what seems like a bug. There are certain objects in the mission (and many other FMs) which, when frobbed, should cause a short message in white letters pop on on your screen for a few second. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about - small brass plaques, or, in this particular mission, the flower card. This time, however, this isn't happening. Once the flower card is in my inventory, right clicking when it's selected does NOT display the message written on it. Frobbing the brass plaque below a statue on the street does NOT display anything. I don't think I ever had this problem before, neither with this FM nor with others.
On a possibly related note, IIRC you should get a scary "cutscene" the first time you exit your home
when you get a vision of the axe in an apparent dead end before you reach the market. This didn't happen, either.
I'm playing with a relatively fresh installation of Thief 2, with NewDark 1.27 installed. Has anyone encountered such problems before? Any idea what might be causing it? The recentmost version of ND? Or maybe some script is missing and I need to download it from somewhere?
EDIT: I just checked another mission where such white-text-plaques work correctly, so this seems to be a problem specific to Broken Triad and/or some special scripts it might use.
EDIT 2: Placing the recentmost (1.2.7) version of NVScript.osm in the game directory does not fix the problem.
EDIT 3: Following Unne Oertdottir's advice from the previous page of this thread and using the T2 scripts bundle file she posted did not work, either. I'm at my wits' end.
EDIT 4: Yet another edit. Suspecting the problem might be related to NVScript (EDIT 2 above notwithstanding), I asked for help in that thread (
https://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=134166&page=7&p=2467128#post2467128) here. I followed R Soul's advice there and installed the osm files he linked to. This seems to have partially solved the problem - frobbing the brass plate under the statue now causes the relevant text to appear properly. Haven't checked the flower card yet, it's next on my list. However, I still don't get the
"axe vision" scare on leaving my home, so I don't know what's up with that. Or am I, perhaps, supposed to only get that later in the mission? I thought it was at the very beginning...
EDIT 5: Flower card still doesn't do anything when I select it in the inventory and right click. Also, I'm pretty sure from previous playthroughs that
you're supposed to be able to frob the bedsheet on Sheila to pull it back and reveal what's happened. Well, that's unfrobbable and doesn't even light up - so between that, the flower card and the lack of the
axe vision, it certainly looks to me like there's some scripting-related problem which the above step has not fixed.

I know when this happened to me I had to make sure latest scripts were in fan mission directory and thief 2 directory. Also what fan mission loader do you use? Angel loader is the best in my opinion as it takes care of scripts and fixes.

I'm also using Angel Loader. I've used DarkLoader on previous playthroughts on my old computer, but I switched over when I got this one.
Let me ask for clarification: when you say the scripts should be in both the Thief 2 and fan mission directory, what exactly IS the "fan mission directory"? Is it (in my case) "D:\Games\Thief 2\FMs", which I think was created by AngelLoader? Is it the "BrokenTriadv1_0" directory within that? Is it somewhere inside the AngelLoader directory? Or is it the directory where the FM zips are held (which for me separate from AngelLoader)? Or am I supposed to place the osm files
inside the zips? I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do.

It's an NVScript problem. Get the latest one (
https://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=134166) here and unzip it into your main Thief directory. If that doesn't work, replace NVScript in the misson archive with this one.

Thanks for the help, that did it!
For posterity's sake: I've already had that version of NVScript in Thief 2' main directory, but the FM's specific install directory had a different version. Replacing that one did the trick.

Interesting. I had the same setup, but both missions of "Broken Triad" worked without any bug.
