I have same problem as Anagami with statues turning only once, however my problem was not solved by reinstalling the mission. :(

need a bit of help in mission 1 ,can i use rosery, and if so where,i am in the part of mission where i got to go back to meauseam to get to warp, but i want to try to find all secrets and i think that might be one?
ok finished both missions
mission 1 7/8 secrets
mission 2 7/8 secrets
i remembered i can use it in the second mission, just wondering why i was able to frob it in mission 1 after i got it,i would think it would have just been a normal non usable item in mission 1 then in mission 2 it would be frobable as in item interaction
it just confused me a bit

I just got around to playing this. Awesome so far. Does anyone know whether there is a newdark or updated version to be released? I may pause playing for the moment and wait for it. The idea to stop and ask was when I saw a really blotchy texture and I wondered if there is a more later version.
Ps. the texture in no-way degrades the experience. As I said before, this mission is very awesome so far.

Pretty much my favorite FM of all time. There was only one version of this mission released though.

Can you provide a screenshot of the blotchy texture? I ask because it's possible there's a texture/resource pack overriding one. If you have any of those enabled, I would disable them for this mission as it uses tons of custom stuff and looks pretty damn good without any enhancements or mods.

Can`t finish the mission, I also have the statues bug. Maybe someone could send me a saved game just after getting the chalice.

I am playing the first part of broken triad and I'm stuck at the swapping of the statues. I have turned off the blurays first and turned off both security fields but there still is a security field that stays there and doesn't allow me to swap the statues. I am completely stuck and it seems no one else had this problem. I'm wondering if it's a bug because I did everything that was required. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Basso -- I recently reinstalled DarkLoader (4.3) and replayed the mission (with NewDark 1.22) and had no problems. Great mission -- it seems it took Eshaktaar 4 years to complete it and it shows. It's pretty much full of great details (revolving gems as lights etc. -- stationary would have been fine but it shows the level of detail that went into this :D.) It's been some time since I last played it but it looks and plays gorgeous.
None of this is helping you though. All I can think of is maybe it's a script problem. Or Engine problem. What version do you have? The only difference to the old dark that I can see is that some of the objects (i.e., safes in Pt. 1) have slightly wrong dimensions -- I can't check because I no longer have the old one (well, yes, the Steam version) -- but I would have noticed it, they can still be opened though.

I had to do this as well, and it seems to completely fix the problem.
If you are on Vista/7 you should probably just apply this fix before playing this FM. It seems completely random whether NVScript will fail or not.
The list of problems I've run into with this FM before doing that:
-the event outside the apartment at the start not playing
-the demon wouldn't appear in the apartment
-the blanket in the apartment would not be frobbable
-the clocktower door being unfrobbable (behind the grate)
-mission 2 would not start at all
At least one of those things would happen per run, before applying the above fix. I assume all of these things are NVScript related.
Great solution! I renamed the thief2.exe - nothing else:D
I use LINUX mint 17.2 (ubuntu 14.04 underneath) running with "playonlinux" and "wine" installed, and thief 2 installed inside a virtual drive that "playonlinux" created.
I've got newdark 1.23 and the mission worked fine a year ago (can't remember which version of newdark I used at that time)
The problems I've encountered were:
-mission 2 would not start at all
-issues with the switches when getting the chalice in hammer cathedral - the switches only works once, but getting it right the first time doesn't give a problem. The only other issues I encounter when using linux playing thief gold/2 is that some newer missions tend to lag a bit because of the translation from windows process to linux, and from directX to openGL.
For instance the mission "heartcliff islands" (so I used the alternate version with the wall installed between the islands, but even that version lagged a bit.)
Probably not a hardware problem because I've got an intel core i7, z77 express chipset, gtx 760 nvidia gfx, and 16Gb ram, running linux mint 17.2 from a Kingston SSD disk.

Seems ridiculous, but I am standing in front of the idol (near end of mission one)...and can't for the life of me swap it.
I've disabled all energy fields, blue & red.
I've read walkthrus, up-n-down.
If I need to restart i will/...but i there is a crucial thing I need to 'do' 1st, I would rather just do it, of course.
I am pressing my 'use' key (enter or mouse 2) a zillion times while standing in front of, to the side of, and behind the idol to switch it...nothing works.
...and of course there's no button I can see around the idol
Any thoughts?
Wonderful mission, perhaps the best I've played...as I said, it seems ridiculous to not be able to get past this crucial ending point having come so far...
thank you
eric
