First of all, congrats for the mission, eshaktaar. You really should be on the thief 4 dev team:thumb:
So here's my dilemma: I've deactivated the force field surrounding the statue, but can't interact with it for some reason. Am I missing something? Also couldn't read the flower card which supposedly has wife's name written on it? Picked books at random and got it right, though:).

  Did you try
using the fake statue in your inventory on the real one?
otto_man on 19/5/2010 at 20:22
Yeah, doesn't work. The real statue doesn't even get highlighted when I'm near it.

otto, sounds like you have a script missing. Might want to reinstall them and try again.

You're not running Windows 7 x86 (32-bit version), are you?

  I am.

That's a known bug in NVSCript and entirely my fault (though I don't know how to fix it).
For the time being, run Thief2.exe in Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode - it will fix your problem. You may, unfortunately, need to restart the mission, however.

Ok, thanks for the info;)

Ok, so I'm having yet another problem. Mission 2 isn't loading properly, I'm having all my equipment and it's usable, and I'm trapped in what seems to be a square, textureless dark room. I tried shooting the staff of far reach and the projectiles collided against the walls. Also no footsteps or ambient sounds. Tried ending the mission with ctrl alt shift end to avoid that fading black screen at the end of mission 1, nothing changed. Any suggestions?

I'm playing this one right now. Alone. In a darkened room. With headphones on.
Paid a little visit to Sheila.
I'm creeped out.
