Well, I finished the FM the ominous bequest, and loved it.
Now, i'm playing the first misson of broken triad, and I'm stuck, in fact, I think it could be a bug, it relates to one of the randimized placed items:
I can't find the oil flask in this mission, and I checked the walkthrough and I know I have 3 possibilities:
1: the apotecary, behind the counter;
2: the basement of the Inn, in a bookcase;
3: In the room where there's a girl sleeping. Well, it's said that it is in the dresser, but I can't open it.
I can't find it anywhere. Must I replay the mission, or is the flask somewhere else?
Please. I want try other FMs, but I'd prefer to finish this one.
thank you.
Oh, almost forgot: I use Garrettloader 1.41

On Expert, it's ON the dresser, not IN the dresser.

It was a bug. I restarted the mission now and run to the three locations. In expert, it was in the bathing burrick cellar.
well, I'll continue from this one. My previous game didn't spawned the item at all.

Woohoo I finished it. When I passed the bridge in the inner chamber the ghosts scared the crap out of me. :o Awesome missions! :thumb:
I noticed some bugs:
- One of the signs in the museum says '_TAFF ONLY', shouldn't that be 'STAFF ONLY' or is it a joke? (taffing as a verb)
- When you're in the locksmith's house next to the east door you can hear the outside ambient sound.

Awesome FM, especially the second part. The amount of planning and work that went into this must have been enormous. But it paid off big time. The bar for FMs has been raised yet again :thumb::thumb:

Eshaktaar,
I just finished mission 2 today. You are an incredibly talented level designer. I thought Ominous Bequest was a wonderful achievement, but you raised the bar yet again with these 2 masterpieces. I can only imagine the immense amount of time and effort required to create something of this superb quality. On behalf of the community, I would like to thank you for your diligence. :D

This sets the "bar" very high for mission quality. Incredibly fun to play and excellent to look at.

It will always be my favorite FM. :)

an oopsie in the walkthru!!!!:
it says:
There is nothing of interest in the bedroom so go outside and walk down the alley and round the corner.
wrong!:
there's a water arrow and a moss arrow in the armoire! i'd say those are "of interest" hah!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
those black guard uniforms are the best looking ever!
(actually makes the brutes look smexy!)
Esh, are you a big fan of Frank Gorshin or what??? lol
(oh, i see you are only 31 Esh, so may not know, Gorshin played the Riddler in the Batman tv series, he played him WAY "over-the-top" too! imho he was the best Riddler!)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
argh! help! no matter where i put the rope arrow i can't mantle back up to the wooden walkway to leave Riddler's Tomb! i keep ending up jumping back away!
PotatoGuy on 16/8/2009 at 07:46
Yeah, I also had some problems with that. What you need to do, is shoot a rope arrow in one of the beams, and not try to mantle, but jump to another part of the beams that is a bit further. Hope this helps enough, because I can't really explain it. Just tell me if you need a screenshot.
