I haven't gotten very far yet in the mission, but that's not my point. I'd just like to give my thanks for all the hard work you put into this series. Also, thank you so very much for incorporating Howard Lovecraft into an FM story, he's one of my favorite writers.

Hmm...I'm at the end of the first mission, just swapped sculpture and reactivate red shield, but don't know how to turn off the blue rays?(Because I think it's why my objective isn't fulfilled yet...) It's something with the books in Wilkerson's office? What is the sequence, then?

bartekb81: you need something from the Director's house (in the n-w of the map) with his wife's name on it.

In the mission book files I found some passages on how to break the mission which then will result in the crossed out goal: "You failed!"
Does anyone know which events trigger this goal? Must be at least two. One I found, which has to do with Ned, but which is the other one?
Thanks for a hint regarding this.

Please spoiler the "has to do with Ned" bit of your post.
I was wondering when someone would start noticing these things - Esh did a great job of anticipating some of the clever and silly things people sometimes do when playing missions. You will definitely be rewarded for some creativity.
There is one related to Ned, correct. There are at least two more little funny things like that in mission 1, although none of the others fail the mission like the one you mentioned. Has anyone found them? These aren't related to secrets or anything like that, just little things that happen if you start poking around the missions. Kind of like easter eggs I suppose.
Esh: Maybe it's also time for your "Things you never wanted to know..." thread?

I just wanted to chime in and say WOW,this is one of the best FM's ever! I did not find all of the secrets the first time through and this is the first mission where I want to play it again to do so. The storyline develops so much as you start playing ,you almost forget you're suppoose to be stealin' stuff.:thumb:

Superb.
That's all I gotta say.
Sticky Fingers on 21/6/2008 at 16:04
errr...maybe several posts on this page belong in the 'Mission 2' thread?

Quite right, Sticky Fingers and it's been done.

Sorry for not having used spoilers. Still don´t know exactly how to do it, even if I often have read how it should work.
I think I have found one funny thing in the museum - hope that doesn´t spoil to much. But I am missing the others probably and the second way of failing the mission. Killing or knocking out Lennard is at least not recommendable and is certainly not a failing objective ;)
