I played the mission once before 2 days and when i got out of the apartment on the begining of the mission after the first turn right i saw a swirl in space with a hammer like symbol in the center pulling me in.
I restarted the mission today and i can't see this swirl again no matter how many times i restart and reinstall the mission. any ideas.
edit: Ok reinstalled and restarted darkloader and it worked

I lit the lamp in Sheila's office, but nothing happened, Ned didn't open the police station back door. Did I miss something or am I missing some scripts?Since this doesn't appear to have been asked elsewhere on the thread,
where's the oil for the lamp? - prjames

With your back towards the museum, look to your right, there is an apothecary shop. Pick the door, and get your oil.

Actually, playing on Expert, the oil is in the building directly across from the front doors of the museum. Go upstairs near where the woman is sleeping on the bed.

On Normal the oil is in the basement of the inn near the tree root. Sneaky Eshaktaar!! :p :cheeky:

Ha, not quite right, the three of you. ;)
It's randomly placed. I kept finding it in the house opposite the museum during beta... something that made me ask Esh why put lamp oil in a house with no gas lamps.

I'm playing on normal..............:weird:
pavlovscat on 5/6/2008 at 02:53
Ah...I should have guessed that Esh would do something like that. :sly:
BrokenArts on 5/6/2008 at 03:14
OK, so I wasn't going crazy trying to find it.........just Esh is crazy. :p ;) Good lord how many locations could the blasted thing have?
Nameless Voice on 5/6/2008 at 03:17
A lot less than in the earlier betas, where the thing could turn up anywhere, even on the other side of town... :D
At least Lisa Wiggleworth had an excuse to have it since she was having trouble with her electric lights...
