I've got a question about some quests that look broken, but didn't think it really belonged in Hints & Spoilers, since it seems more a tech issue...I'll use spoiler text anyway. Does anyone know what might be going on with these or how I can fix?
*Long after I was declared the Nerevarine, I went back to Holamayan and talked to a few people, and they acted like I hadn't talked to the high religious official at the High Fane. But when I went back to talk to him again, everything was fine, like I had talked to him.
*In the Tribunal expansion, I was supposed to protect Barenziah from being assasinated, but even when I sit behind the screen in her anteroom with both doors closed and wait there for days, long after the deadline, nothing happens.
*Also in Tribunal, Geon Aulene in Godsreach wanted me to get a dagger for him...I got it, he thanked me, and the next time I went back, he's asking me where it is all over again.
Thanks for any help :)

There are so many broken quests in Morrowind.
The only redeeming thing is the number of ways to go around those quests. I imagine that someone could set off the boat in the beginning of the game and use the console to go through the main quest step by step by step.
It almost became a sub-game, really, finding new ways to go around doing broken quests.

Regarding the second point there, I think you have to be stood in exactly the right spot, and get a little message saying "yup this looks like the right spot", for events to proceed. Rather than broken scripting it could just be a case of the game's fussiness over where you stand.

For the Tribunal one, do you sit there and wait in real-time, or do you use the Wait key? It needs to be the latter, I think.

Chimpy Chompy is correct - you have to stand in the right spot and get a journal entry. It's right in the corner, so go as close to the wall as you can.
Don't forget to listen to what they have to say! :D
The first point is a bug, but as you say, it only happens once the first time you talk to certain people.
If you have the reward for the 3rd point, I wouldn't worry about him asking for the dagger again. It doesn't affect the quest, because you have already finished it! :D

Thanks very much, everyone, for the answers. :)
Now, the next problem. :p
Is it possible to get "stuck" from leveling up? I mean, I've been at Level 38 seemingly forever, the whole time at 8/10ths of the way from the next level, and I've completed at least half a dozen quests in that time. Am I "stuck"? Or just impatient? How do I get unstuck??

You level up by increasing Major and Minor skills by 10 points. You will stop levelling when all these skills are at 100. Being 'stuck' means that you aren't using the your major/minor skills enough to increase them. :)

Thank you Striker :)
Just after posting this I read the pinned thread about leveling up and now have unstuck myself accordingly. I appreciate the confirmation of my sanity...I thought I was stuck in a time warp or something there for a bit :cheeky:

It's just a jump to the left, And then a step to the righ, With your hands on your hips, You bring your knees in tight, But it's the pelvic thrust that really drives you insane... ahem... ;) I mean no problem. :)
